My issue with it all is the wide spectrum of "what is too drunk to consent?".

One drink? Two drinks? Five drinks? How can you tell for each girl / man since different body weights will dictate at what point people consider themselves drunk? Obviously, if a girl is passed out, then that's rape, but as I said it's the tentative grey area approaching that.

What about other drugs? If a girl is too high, or under the influence of drugs, could that skew consent? And if illegal drugs are in scope, what about prescription drugs? That may sound pedantic, but how long before someone claims a lack of consent because their prozac made them unfit to consent properly.

I'm beyond lightweight at this point, but back in the day I had skillz; unless I drank vodka, then its was just horrific.

Vodka is bad for me, I can remember at least once I ended up in the cells I think it may of been twice because of Vodka. I won't even mention the other stuff it made me do. My trick is to never drink Vodka for a quieter life.

Its becoming a lot more well known now about men can be abused. I think your living a decade or more ago

I recall from my PSHE lesson in like year 9ish? when the female teacher who was all down with the kids because she taught PSHE basically said 'Lads, careful, because you can get done for rape' 'Girls, you're alright, Lads get done, not girls!'

It was kind of tongue in cheek, a off-hand criticism of the laws.

I think that some here are behind the times... Sweden have just opened their first rape centre for men AND domestic violence against men is sadly becoming more and more comman. Women need to take responsibility for their actions and men need to understand that NO means NO.

Prosecution for rape is notoriously difficult to prove unless there are signs of physical violence and forced entry.... So unless you go straight to the police after being roofied or you are black and blue the chances of proving foul play become less and less...If you are still inebriated or high as a kite from personal choice I believe you should accept the outcome, go to the clinic and get tested for nasties, if you are pregnant make a choice (but don't involve the chap...it's not his body) learn from the experience and leave prosecuting for rape to those who are 'real' victims.

Climbed Devils Kitchen at the weekend with daughter and boyfriend, both first time up a mountain, 1000m totally unforecast wind, cloud and rain, tried to descend ridge in 30m viz, could I fuck find the path, daughter started crying, it was proper steep descent, then out of the fog comes a mountain rescue guy on a walk himself, I could have hugged him...took us safely to ridge path and walked us out of cloud, bought him tea and pastie at the bottom, wife donated 50 squid on their website.
