The Z5 is the first phone I've seen in some time that's made me think "that's worth an upgrade".

Not convinced on the 4k screen, that seems overkill to me but I do suppose that 4k and 8k is really where it's at. We need to leave 1080p behind and continue to move forward.

I have a Z2. It's only 18 months old. And they're now on a Z5?

This looks le sex to me. It has all the right features, but something I cannot live without is my phone being waterproof, so this is certainly something I will look into once it is released

How are Sony on forced apps? I hate that Samsung filled up my Galaxy with all sorts of shit I never use, but is always running in the background

Sony tend to release 2 phones a year, think it's a Japanese thing - rarely worth upgrade to the next one in the series, but give it the usual 18 month phone lifetime the upgrades are worth it.

The Z4 came out over here as the Z3+, wasn't much of an upgrade over the Z3 - in fact the Z3 was probably the better phone.

Got a Z3 for my work phone and it's still awesome, could just do with a personal phone so I can unplug from work at the weekends. Love the look of this though, especially the Premium.

Probably the closest to stock Android of all the usual suspects, very lightly skinned, and only apps that are really forced on you are Fb, Twitter etc. They've cut down on the amount of Sony specific stuff, just really Album, Video and Music now. Oh and the PlayStation app.

DON'T TEMPT ME

I've avoided non-Google handsets because stock android is what I want. This is great news.

Thank you for this. Spec's etc are nice, but easy to find, and in the end most phones tend to be close to each other in terms of hardware. But finding info on the amount of "special features" isn't as easy.
I agree with @CorNokZ, I love my Galaxy s5 but the amount of force fed bloatware from Samsung is really starting to piss me off. I don't mind them making it available if you would like it, but forcing it on the users sucks.

Weird request time.

I play games with this Swedish guy, he's pretty straight up, and I've met him.

He's basically dong a course in London from the 5th to 11th of October.

He's looking for somewhere to crash.

he makes amazing swedish meatballs and he's good at playing cards.

If anyone wants some Swedish dude on your sofa, give me a shout.

Samsung are better on forced apps over Sony now, I'm on an S6 and they aren't noticeable at all, I came from a Z3C.

Also your waterproof comment, jesus its so true, this phone isn't and I'm paranoid as fuck about it. I did try the OtterBox Defender case but it got on my tits, settled on the Commuter.
