When did a costume turn into a cosplay? I don't even know the meaning of the word, and I am thinking it has something to do with Japanese cartoons?

Someone dressing up as EA is actually closer to cosplay then a costume. A costume is just an outfit of some sort, while a cosplay can kind of be more abstract.

It's essentially just costume play, dressing up. I think the term comes from asian parts though.

Anyone care to explain how ISIS has caused Turkey to go on a Anti-Kurd fight? I'm confused.

Because the Turks were forced into strikes against ISIS by events of the last week, they've decided to maximise the opportunity by turning it into a general "attack all terrorists" campaign, and in Turkish eyes the PKK are terrorists.

The Turks, or rather specifically Erdogan's government, are reaping what they've sown because they were major suppliers to ISIS in the first place.

Turkey has been anti Kurds for decades. This is just a more public flair-up. This is the single reason I'm never going to vacation in Turkey (Even if the country is beautiful and very interesting).

Kurds are doing quite well against ISIS. Kurds are becoming more confident and still want their own state. Turkey bit scared of that, so Turkey not wanting to get involved with ISIS as fighting the same enemy legitimises the Kurds' claims.
More like.. Kurds are killing soldiers and police agents in Turkey.Turkey has more problems with kurds then with ISIS.

Wanna finally get a SSD to coincide with the new Windows, http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=ssd

What's the major difference in the brands? I might push for the Samsung 250 gig because I assume Samsung>Kingston for an extra £7?
I got sammy one. You want to make sure the read write speeds are around the 500 ish mark iirc. There are cheaper ones that have lower read write speeds.

Shouldnt this be in the techie section?

I've had pretty much one of every make along the way at some time. I've had to RMA a couple of the earlier OCZ drives but a Samsung, 2 Kingston, 2 Crucial and an Adata are all still going nicely.

As Moriath said, ideally just make sure the read and writes are around the 500+ mark and iops are 80k+ even if the figures are lower than that there's no guarantee that you'll be able to notice in real world applications particularly.

Mind you, if you're going from a mechanical HDD pretty much any SSD will be an improvement. ;)

Stephen Hawking is doing an AMA on reddit soon for those interested in that sort of thing (or those who want to ask him something). The "big" AMAs (especially in /r/science) are always interesting.

He's not actually answering anything yet they're just collating questions for him.

It was bound to happen though. You can't keep cutting jobs but expecting even more work to be done. It will probably end up with the Police just giving you a Crime Number for your insurance unless someone has been hurt in the break in.
