Besides. There's nothing wrong with taking a city mentality to a city.

Although cultures vary across the world, the urban/rural cultures are relatively the same, especially in Rome, theyve just gone through some economic shit but they're still a number one tourist destination, of course there's people going to try it on.

If you don't behave in a way with the locals then don't with the tourists.

This is why I love France. They don't try and move mountains to please tourists

But our battery runs out really quick because we take so many pictures of our kids. It's fine though, we have a charger in the car, we need that to use the phone sat nav to take the kids to all the activities etc they do.

I'm not proud of the vikings, i've never claimed finns were the classic storytime invading vikings(while they were part of the core tribes in the viking areas of north) and i never said people should just roll over.

When we lived in Madrid I was mugged. Leaving dinner in the Plaza Major, hub and male colleague blithely walking along in front of me not noticing. Bloke came from behind me and stuck his head under my left arm to get my clutch bag. I automatically closed my arm on his neck ( he was short I'm almost 6' and was wearing 3'' heels) I punched him in the face as hard and often as I could with my right hand ( when going out I wear big rings on every finger)

I would've got my bag back but the 2 blokes realised what was happening, turned around to join in at which point mugger's mate appeared from nowhere with a knife and took a swipe at hub who was cut on his arm. Not badly.

I'm afraid I let go and they all (I think there was another too) ran away. I wanted to follow as they'd've ditched the bag as it only had my lipstick, shawl and fan in it. But the visitor was so stunned we ended up going to the police ( waste of time) and taking him back to his hotel.

I think you have an automatic reaction to these situations never mind what you think you would do in theory
