Don't think it translates that well since the phrasing is different, but the gist of it;

bros girl was putting their kid to sleep, was meant to say "head to the pillow and eyes shut", but she was tired and it came out "Shut up" :p

The phrases in finnish are "pää tyynyy ja silmät kiinni", she just skipped the middle part and said "pää kiinni".

It's interesting how people can get "bored" in this day and age when stuff like this is free on the net;

How the fuk do people let pick pocketers get so close,.guess I'm a personal space freak, but anyone bumping me like that would be in a headlock instantly, I had it done to me in Rome' a guy pulled over to us and grabbed y hand to pretend shake it while feeling for a watch, I booted his car door right in and he was lucky I couldn't find a big rock before he sped off...the best was the wife...she wad like..he was just.being friendly.

If you do go to Rome, I've heard it's much worse, watch out for locals asking for directions, cheeky fucker actually pulled over again in the same spot the next day asking for the same directions, still with his door kicked in.
You couldn't make it up, I booted it again, but it had reached it's boot limit, the wife gave him a mouthfull and I threatened to rip his head off...he screeched off into the traffic with horns going off, it was all a bit Italian.

No. I would of dented his face first time around. Just because it's job it doesn't mean he's a hooligan. Are we meant to bend over and be robbed all in the name of political correctness?

Nothing politically correct about it, just that if your first response is violence then you are a bit of a problem.

No, if someone wants to rob me then they need to understand I will not let them. Yes my first reaction will be violence and no that isn't a problem. They brought it to me, I wasn't running around with a swastika on my forehead and an ak47 was I? Honestly toht find the common ground and look at it from a real life point of view.

I'm really almost hippy but fuck off if you want to take something that is meant for my family. I will punch you in the eye.

In a situation versus a criminal, if you wanted to think about your family then the contents of your wallet(especially these days) is not worth possibly losing their father/husband.

In Jobs example, a possible watchthief would've made him go for a big rock. That is an overreaction and from a neutral POV it would look like a violent UK person damaged someones car for shaking their hand.

I'm not saying don't defend yourself when need be, but i would dare say that over 9/10 times you're not carrying anything worth dying for.

This from someone who did get his jacket/wallet/jacket contents stolen. Was it 7-10 years ago? Never did it occur to me to fight over menial stuff like that.

Different people ofcourse, but i don't have to like the insta-violence approach. But then again, there are people on this forum who would punch people for being rude, so not the place to discuss it.

I get angry at rudeness for sure, no punching though!

I'm from Stoke mate, it's pretty rough and it's how we are bred I guess. My stomach turns at the thought of someone stealing from me.

Meh Toht once again you and the point are a long way away from each other. There's a difference between robbed at knife/gun point and a pickpocket chancing his luck. They are 2 completely different kinds of criminal.

Quite. It's just that from a "foreigner" perspective, comments and such only enforce the UK troublemakers stereotype. Rough areas, you grow up rougher. Nothing about it, it's who you are. I'm not blaming you mind you, i'm just sayign i don't like the approach. Just a difference in mindsets. Hell if my dad had stuck around adn we'd be hanging in his "old circles", you'd be talking to either a deadman, or someone who served time for stealing rides for a gang.

You don't have to be robbed at gunpoint/knifepoint to get one pulled on you. These are still criminals and you can't count on "Oh he's just a petty pocketthief". They probably have done time and are way more suited to fight fistycufffs as well.

It's a simple choice really; content of your wallets, or possibly your safety? You don't own anything that important on you at all times.

Put me against someone from Brighton maybe and the difference is scary, I'm really calm and mild for my upbringing and I see all sides as much as I can but culture plays a massive part in people's reactions to having the piss taken.

Not all English are scum toht, we just are a lot of different breeds on a small island.

Well put and not disagreeing at all. Would be pretty sanctimonious to say you're all like that :p

As the original point was; not helping the stereotype. All i was saying.

No need to punch me over it or anything :unsure:

So you are proud of violence yet wouldn't stop someone robbing you?

OK

And for the record, the Vikings speak English now...they have forgotten their gods and they have settled into civilised life.

Who wins? :D
