Yeah, there's no mention of the bowler (other than his name) in any reports I've seen, he's probably inconsolable. :(

"If you look in the literature there's only about 100 cases ever reported, so this is incredibly rare. Only one previous case ever reported as the result of a cricket ball. So I think it's important to realise that yes, we need to review all our procedures and equipment, but this is an incredibly rare type of injury."

To be completely honest, first thought was "Crikey, that blasted Joker is out again!"

The police have got some 'splainin' to do about that Tamir Rice shooting. I have no idea why they released the video so willingly, it makes them look awful (and actually completely dishonest).

In the officer's report he said he told the boy to put his hands up 3 times but it was practically a drive-by shooting - he shot him less than 2 seconds after pulling up about 5 feet away from him. Rice wasn't even looking at them when he got shot. Then they didn't go to him to check his condition or anything. He was lying there for 4 minutes, still alive, probably in agony (if conscious), until a FBI agent who happened to be in the area came and gave him first aid.

I wouldn't be surprised if it all kicks off more because of this than Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin. :(

I haven't been but planned to, go whale watching and visit that spa that was in hostel 2 so you can scream like a girl http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Lagoon_(geothermal_spa)

Oh and visit the Game of Thrones sets and Interstellars :D

BL is nice but very, very touristy, not to mention completely man made. I've been told that the coolest thing you can do is just dip in any of the natural geothermals that are visitable in and around the city. Ask a native which ones are recommended, because some of them can be very hot indeed.

Don't think we'll be hiring a 4x4 and exploring proper, just an easy 5 days in and around the capital.
A day trip around the Golden Circle no doubt, but with 4 hour days I can't see us going much further.

They changed their crest for cash...the religous angle is irrelevant..just how far will football sell itself.

Actually it is the religious thing that's most disturbing; RM have changed their crest loads of times down the years, including losing the crown entirely for long periods, but what's actually kind of wrong here is its not RM's crown to modify, its the Spanish Royal Family's.

Just got back from Manchester, and this is something I never thought I'd say, what an awesome city.

Was there last December and it has a really nice shopping area with Christmas fare and all. Had a nice curry there too.

Sat on my table downstairs. Missus' sister forgot to take it back home with her a few months ago, and I forgot to tell her when she re-visited this weekend ;)

It's a wicked fun game.

But I was referring to the 0% of what you give us goes to children in need.

When someone links something on Amazon and says its funny I instantly go down to the comments (which were funny to be fair). :)

Aye the Christmas market was nice, bloody expensive though! Managed to get a corner suite room with breakfast at the Malmaison for £35, normally over £200 a night too :D

So it seems a turducken is a thing. I had to google it to find out what it was.

Could you explain the awesome bits? Though the indoor ski and skydiver fan room is pretty cool

Without sounding like a total bellend, it has a nice 'vibe'.

The bars we visited were great, I love all the street art around, every single person I spoke to was decent. I didn't really do any of the touristy stuff; no ferris wheel etc. I had a couple of hours to kill while waiting for my bus back so just wandered around, has a good few shops I wouldn't mind up in Newcastle (Vans, American Apparel, some pretzel bakery place).

I do think Black-Friday should be a purely online thing.

All this shit that's going down because of it is just retarded.

I like to laugh at those that still surge to the shops, its cold wet and miserable. Why would you want to go shoulder to shoulder with the plebs to get money off something when you can do it from the comfort of your phone or PC?

People need to realise that Black Friday is a form of 'getting old shit out of the store'. Yes, there are 10 PlayStation 4s on 50% sale, but 99.9% of the people rushing in won't get one. Instead they'll be going home with a blender, a new gaming mouse and a new headset. Not stuff that they needed, but at 70% off, who could resist? Truth is, most of the stuff being sold on Black Friday would have been sitting in storage for a long time and probably would never even be sold, but the store is still saving money, even though they are taking a small loss on the products themselves, they are gaining in the long run, making it all back in reduced storage costs. Simple marketing

Yeah, been a bit disappointed this year with the Amazon stuff, they aren't even hiding the fact that it is tat...Though I did see the bread maker I bought two weeks ago much cheaper on Amazon, which was annoying.

I'd rather work some extra hours and pay full price for an item than go anywhere near a store on Black Friday.

Can you imagine if there was a real crisis? Can you imagine if we started to run out of food?

Please, God, if you exist (which you don't), please send a comet.
