Congrats, I got mine at 17 which was 28 years ago.Iit was easy back then, but I don't think I could pass it these days

Actually haven't needed one yet, moved to Helsinki at 20 and the public transport is faster and cheaper so never got around to getting a lisence

I had moved on to having a man walk in front of the car. As long as you didn't run him over you passed.

Living in a city and not having to travel for work out side said city means you rarely need a car.

Unfortunately I lived in a new town and have to travel to my customers. Both require a car.

When I lived in Farnborough it was just so much quicker to get the bus to work. Bus stop 20 metres from my house, took 10 minutes (in good traffic) to drop me off 20 metres from work, for less than the price of parking. It was a no brainer really. Also, excellent rail links to London, Guildford, Basingstoke etc.

It was only when I moved back to Northampton where we basically don't have public transport that I have had to learn to drive.

I'm a city rat. Lived in Copenhagen all my life and it is just so much faster to get around on my bike. Even the 14k ride to school is faster on bike than the bus. Now that I've become a dad we go all sorts of places to see ppl etc and my gf was tired of always having to drive

I had a E 1986 ish I think. 1.1 escort popular. It only had a radio in it four forward gears. Used to thrash the bollocks off the engine doing 90 on the motorway. Was about three years old or so when I got it.

When I wrote it off, I stuffed the front end and all 3 engine mount broke away from the chassis, it was only the front drive shafts stopping it falling out the bottom of the engine bay
