Anyone else noticed a big downturn in modified shit cars as per Barryboys? I hardly ever see them these days.

What you find is that the old boy racers from 10-20 years ago have quite nice cars these days and are modified much more subtly.

There are still loads of meets in private car parks though, and you still get kids in stupid looking modified cars, the majority just don't look as awful as they used to. I think what is considered a well modded car has changed over the years.

I would like to think so as well...people dont realise modern cars are much heavier these days..in fact the latest golf gti is twice the weight of the original...thats why with the huge increase in engine power the acceleration times are pretty much the same.

I went to school with a kid who crashed a modern BMW. He was doing over 100 on the M25 when he lost it and rolled the car a few times with it ending in a ditch. The fire brigade spent hours cutting him out and he walked away from that crash. He had over 150 stiches but the biggest cut took under 10. He broke both his thumbs on the air bag and had lots of bruises other than that he was fine. Modern cars and crumple zones are amazing.

Hahahha. Had an afternoon tea (beer..) with a female friend. While she thought guys in general are very forgetful, never shops the right groceries, can't follow a purchase-list, acts irrational etc. So, i explained to her we use sort of a modified "procedurally generated thought-system" and informed of the benefits.
