Watched A Million Ways to Die in the West on Friday. Wasn't expecting too much having read the reviews - turns out the reviews are wrong - it's very funny. Takes a while to get used to Seth being on screen rather than behind the microphone, but there's plenty of brilliant lines and moments. A couple of excellent cameos too which I won't spoil.

Not quite as funny as Ted, but definitely worth a watch. Probably 8 / 10 for me.
Glad you said that, was worried about the reviews, but will go and see it anyway.

Going to see 'Edge of Tomorrow'...erm...tomorrow

Watching Stalingrad - a new Russian film, about you guessed it, and it's just as bad as some of the WW2 Nazi propaganda films, Nazis are still all evil bastards, and the Russians are stupidly heroic.

I guess the same thing could be said about Hollywood films and 'Murican warriors of the democratic peace.

Antony Beevors book on Stalingrad is well worth a read if your interested. Definitely one battle I would have wanted to stay a million miles away from. Some of the sections of the book talking about how soldiers stayed away from the newly dead because you could all the lice moving off the cooling bodies and what both sides were reduced to eating etc. really does being a shudder.....

You can look at it that way or you can say that finally there is a chance you can copy music and films onto the iPhone without iTunes. I see no reason to hate this idea unless they start trying to make out that they invented the idea.

I'm watching live commentary and some of it makes me want to shoot myself in the face. I thought it was sarcasm, but someone said that syncing an image across all your devices was "HUGE" - what the actual steaming fuck? How is that "HUGE"?

Oh Jesus, yet another Android feature that they're just getting around to.

http://www.droid-life.com/2014/06/0...n-earth-introduces-quicktype-predictive-text/

Remember when everyone wanted to be like Apple? Now Apple want to be like everyone else? Seriously, Tim Cook better get a ouija board out asap and get speaking to Jobs for ideas.
Remember when everyone was copying Apples good ideas and it was no big deal? And yes being able to copy stuff on and off an iPhone without Jail Break is a big deal and it is also a massive step away from the way the company has run before. None of it is arousing me but I do think some of it has been coming for a while and I am happy about it.

Like the curves?? ;) They were ahead at the start of the game, but now there's just nothing new at all. Which is fine! As long as they stop pretending they are coming up with something new.

If it was just Apple saying it I could cope, what I can't cope with is the morons at work spouting off about the shit Apple are now releasing and refuse to accept any evidence that suggests otherwise. Fucking plebs.

I like Apple products but I fucking detest the bullshit adverts that try to tell me sending a text messages is a revolutionary new function no matter puts that advert out.

That being said I do love winding the Droid fan boys up by telling them the Apple control centre is nothing like the Android one because you swipe up from the bottom not down from the top :) As with that I am all for Apple stealing ideas from other people if they make my day easier when using my phone :)

Gf had an iPhone 4 and loved it. After three years of use, it was time for her to get a new phone. She promptly announced that she wanted the new iPhone 5S. I convinced her to get the Samsung Galaxy S5 instead. My main argument?

"You smash the screen more often than you draw a breath!"

Now she'd never go back to iPhone after having dropped it in the shower and it didn't even get a scratch.

"It has so many features! "

See, the one good thing about apple products is that the screen is cheap and easy to replace. The samsung screens cost a fortune to replace. Good luck when it smashes!

I dropped my iPhone 4ft on to a toilet bowl it then bounced and landed on a concrete floor and it never had a scratch on it. Some people seem to think you drop them 4 inches onto a pillow and the screen explodes. I am 3 years on iPhones now and have never broke one. But them I never broke a Android phone either. I am not a clumsy fucker who tries to make out the phone is at fault for me keep dropping it :D

No it isn't. Being able to copy shit on and off stuff has been around since the CBM Pet. It's just that apple is such a giant cunt of a company that it's whole business model is selling hobbled tech to idiots who know no better so they're tied in, which makes it easier to run a milking machine.

This "development" is not to be praised - it's to be spat on and derided.

As an owner it is to be praised it will make my use of the device I like for many reasons better hence its a good thing. Should it have been there from the start? Yes. Should applications have been able to interact from the start? Yes. But they couldn't and can now which is good.

If that's gameplay, it looks a little slow somehow.

I think you're missing the point slightly.

FWIW, iPhones are still hugely popular and people interact with them FAR more than on Android devices (our stats show its about a factor of four), so if you're in the online business you can't simply say "Apple, bunch of cunts, fuck 'em", and its also why I have an iPhone as my main device, so this is a good thing.

The Youtube mobile app has just become unusable...its a frickin mess to look at and now 90% of the content I want to view is 'not available on this platform' every single video app in the playstore is 500X better.

Might be due to it being more of a commercial then a techdemo, or they've gone with more oompf less flash.

Will have to see when the first gameplay comes out.
