The Walking Dead Season Six, please use spoilers

My original point was that people were using spoilers incorrectly in this thread - which, after all, is entitled "please use spoilers".

But on this point - If something happens after the credits - i.e. in a prologue - then it's a spoiler. It's normal to expect that some people would deliberately avoid that and easy to spoiler.

There's no excuse for getting spoilers wrong. It's such a simple concept. It's selfish and lazy not to get it right. Period.
Its a mid season finale so they always have clips like that its not a next time clip of what happens

I think you're all missing Scouse's point and arguing over nothing.

I think his point was that I don't want to have to click every single fucking post to read a thread about things which have already happened.

THIS IS THE WALKING FUCKING DEAD THREAD. IT'S GOING TO BE DISCUSSING STUFF WHICH HAS AIRED YOU DON'T NEED TO FUCKING USE THE SPOILER FUCKING TAG FOR EVERY FUCKING POST!

Fucks Sake.

No his point is that just because everybody else watched the bit at the end, HE DOESN'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT, despite it being part of the episode, fully intended for general consumption, and not actually a spoiler of anything (unless you've read the comics, in which case it will have you absolutely champing at the bit to see the second half of the season, because
Negan is fucking amazing, and the actor playing him looks perfect for the role
).

I wouldn't have any objection to not spoilering anything in this thread - just don't go in it if you haven't seen the latest episode.

Nah its the opposite, he gets pissy if you discuss something that happened months ago without using spoilers.

Stop being a cunt. - Credits up = Episode Over. Period.

We're constantly arguing on FH about spoilers and it's down to one thing - some people are selfish and/or lazy and refuse to accept the obvious because it doesn't matter to *them*. Well fuck you.

They run stuff after the credits because they are giving people an option NOT to watch. It's not hard to understand. The thread titile has been modified because people are so lazy/ambivalent/pigheaded that they refuse to do the very easy.

If it happens in the future: spoiler it. Period.

No. My original point was completely because I agree with @Gumbo, as I already pointed out, twice.

You clearly can't read any more. Once more, for your very cheap seat, spoilers are for stuff happening IN THE FUTURE.

Nope.

Nope. You're constantly whining on FH about spoilers. Everybody else (with maybe 1 or 2 much less vocal exceptions) is pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

Nope. This scene didn't happen in the future. I'll spoiler this just in case you really are that stubborn and haven't watched it...
It's Abraham, Daryl and Sasha making their way back to Alexandria. For all we know it happened before everybody smeared guts on themselves. At the worst it was happening simultaneously.
It is PART OF THE EPISODE. Would you not have been wondering wtf happened to those 3 otherwise?

As I said before it isn't a 'next time' its a whole separate episode - in fact the episodes that I torrent cut out the credits completely so you can't watch the next time stuff but they added a whole new torrent just for that.

Seriously Scouse, you're super wrong here.

It's like the Aeroplane scene for Fear the Walking Dead

You're wrong, get over it.

If it was a preview of the next episode then it would have said "next time in the walking dead"

Do you consider the final scene in many marvel films to be previews of the next film? You're being deliberately obtuse, deliberately toht.

So you're saying if I stay up until like half 3 and download the episode straight away and watch it I can report what happens on here without spoilers?

If it's after the credits it's not part of the episode.

That's why it's after the credits. Wondering WTF happened after an episode is part of the enjoyment.

Even if you can't admit the obvious (future=spoilers) - is it hard to do?

Edit: Is it actually a separate two-minute mini-episode?

Yep.

Why not? It's the talk about the walking dead thread. Up to and including the current episode.

I've not watched the prologue because spoilers. If the prologue is definitely not spoilers (at two minutes long I figured it was a posh "this happens next season/second half of this season" - as TV usually does) then I'm not against it.

However, even if it is that then my point about future stuff being spoilers is still correct.

No, it bridges the gap between the two.

IE.

EVENT A

Character Introduction (Prologue)

EVENT B.

As we've all said like a billion times, the Prologue is not shown again, it's totally separate.

People kept on saying, in capitals, "it's part of the episode". If it's how you describe it's not part of the episode, but clearly a separate two minute intro.

And therefore fine.

People need to be more specific with their language if that's the case - it is a word-based communication forum after all. And they need NOT to use spoilers to talk about stuff that isn't a spoiler, as per my original point (that @Gumbo posted about too) before all this shit kicked off again.

:)

Edit: In fact, I'm going to reiterate that. Spoilers are for spoilers - not every fucking post in the thread. None of this would have happened if I hadn't been having to click on fucking spoiler tags to read anything and then came across something I hadn't seen, and therefore presumed "spoiler" when it wasn't...

Wrong.
Wondering WTF happened after an episode is part of the enjoyment.
In this case it would've been bad story telling. We know that...
Abraham, Daryl and Sasha are alive and have a vehicle and are making their way back from the previous time we saw them. If they had just left that hanging it would've been shite
Edit: Is it actually a separate two-minute mini-episode?
Just watch it ffs. :)

It was spoilered because it happened. It's part of the episode and had it not been spoilered you would probably have kicked off even more.

So, it's clearly a separate-from-the-episode 2 minute mini-episode. And as such, didn't need to be spoilered at all.

I'd have realised my n00b-error by reading about shit that had happened when I figured out I'd not actually watched all the content whilst thinking I was up-to-date. And all shit would have been avoided if people used spoilers correctly in the first place. :p

I'm sure the original spoiler thread on this conversation was because someone watched the episode at the not FH agreed time to watch it, and posted about it and people got upset.

That person is a dick then.

Once broadcast then it's fair game. You don't have to read the thread. If you don't want to know what's happening in the current episode then you avoid it. Easy.

Then spoilers for discussion of future things if you have any foreknowledge - i.e. have read rumours of what's going to happen, have read the comics, your sister has sucked one of the actor's dicks/licked a clit and he/she said etc.

Why am I still having to talk about what spoilers are for? It's so easy :(

Yes, absolutely, 100%. If you're too stupid to not open the Walking Dead thread until you're up to date, then you're an idiot who deserves to get spoilered.

If the thread is clearly titled, as this one is. Then there is no need to use spoiler tags for every post.

The exceptions would be perhaps if you were describing what happens in the comics to a character and people may not want to know. That kind of thing.

I'll ask again. Is every post in the football thread spoilered, just in case people haven't seen the game yet? Of course not, if you're worried about spoilering a result of a game you've Sky+'d because the missus took you shopping, you just don't open the fucking thread until you've caught up.

@Scouse can we get a 'I am wrong, I am sorry' please.
No - but I'll tell you why not.

My original point was about incorrect use of spoilers - and none of this shit would have happened if people hadn't been using them like retards for every single post.

Secondly, it's not part of the episode. But I had missed content. But I would have found that out in a normal manner if people had been using the spoiler tags correctly, rather than thinking "ffs, why am I clicking on spoiler tags to read normal shit?... OMG! there's something I haven't fucking seen, the fucking retards!!!11!oneeleven!1"

So, hugs all round. But no apology from me, 'cause its you guys fault :p

Edit: Don'tcha agree @Gumbo? :)

It's why I only opened this thread and got sweary this morning. I didn't open it yesterday when I saw it.

I didn't torrent it, and I didn't watch it last night as it aired. I watched it while I was eating my breakfast this morning, and then came on here to see what people were saying afterwards.

I then had to click on every single post because people don't get what spoilers are for...

I suggest @Scouse that if you don't know how cliff hanger episodes work then you don't read any spoilers

FFS - it wasn't even that interesting :(
Just you wait. :)
Shit. Should I have spoilered that because it's implying that something might happen at some point in the future? I guess @Scouse will never know because he won't open this but I wonder if name notifications work if you say someone's name inside a spoiler. I expect they do. Oh well.
I'm fully 100% on board with not using spoilers to discuss episodes, it's just @Scouse and his ever se precious sensibilities that have brought it on. If we had discussed the Negan bit without spoilers, he would *still* have realised he had missed a bit and got all pissy.

But you still wouldn't have known about the bit after the credits and I bet you would've thrown your toys out of your big gay northern pram. :)
Never. I would have accepted it being completely my fault for not seeing up to "current" :)
