I do see what your saying, the car thing was a bit stupid but ok. However they do prosecute people for computer crimes and i doubt all those times they had a camera watching the guy the whole time.

As for if its only happening because he is famous who knows but the fact he is famous means there would be a lot more people who could report him.

i dont think that's true, it would be a case of they were getting response enough to warrent keep trying, he wasn't dead for two hours cos you don't come back from that, he may of died multiple times but they would keep resusing on anyone in that situation

I'm not an expert but iirc they impound your pc and check it for porn and monitor your activity for quite a while in the hope of proving that you were the only one in the house when the downloading was happening.

Having said that there's a big stink about what happened in Operation Ore and some might turn out to be innocent.

That's a slippery slope. Freedom of speech ends exactly at the point where it infringes on other peoples' right

Oh for crying out loud. If nothing else it gave you a whole industry in maudlin song-writing. And once again, read a history book that wasn't written by an Irishman with a grudge. Public opinion in the UK was firmly to help Ireland. The British establishment had different ideas though... (and you're not even on the famine league table compared to what they did to India). Irish self-pity can get a bit wearing after a while; read Hard Times to get a picture of the kind of thing happening to the English working class at around the same time, and you'll have an understanding of how cheap life was then if you were poor, no matter where you were from.

Back on topic. I'm really uncomfortable with the whole concept of arresting someone just for being a prick. He's only been arrested because it was a tirade in relation to the Muamba story; which hardly shows justice is blind does it? He's only been arrested because it was a tirade in relation to the Muamba story; which hardly shows justice is blind does it? If he'd tweeted a generalised racist attack, it wouldn't have been picked up or at best quietly deleted by Twitter as CoC violation, and the law certainly wouldn't have got involved.

That is where this guy is a tool though. If Fab has 200k twitter followers by tagging him (I assume he did?) he gives himself 200k chances to be reported for racist remarks. If he had just said it without tagging him only his friends would of seen and they would of put it down to him being a knob and not reported it. Forgetting the possibility of them proving it, if a crime has been reported the police have to investigate it.
