Where sitcoms are concerned, quit while you're ahead & move onto something else. Although having said that, I still think they should have made a 4th series of How Not to Live Your Life - the 3rd season was the best one imo

I think Linehan has done the right thing. Every time I accidentally come across the new series of Two & Half Men on Comedy Central I see all the evidence I need for comedies long past their sell-by date.

The IT Crowd has had more of an impact on pop culture than many other sitcoms in recent years.
"Have you tried turning it off and on again?" is now mainstream. People laugh when I say it. It doesn't help that I actually want them to turn it off and on again.

At least I can look back on it with fondness... just like Father Ted.

I didn't really like the IT Crowd. A few giggles but mostly cardboard characters with not-so-funny lines. If its on and others are watching it, I might watch some but never made a point of it. I was going to write off Chris O'Dowd as someone to ignore but Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0910554/ ) was ace.

Richard Ayoade cracks me up and that was all that made me watch the show tbh, it was a bit lame really.

Hopefully something good that's worth watching will replace that shit

Some of it was fantastic but stopped watching during the second season as it was failing to make me laugh any more.
