If he didn't win it's because labour culled enough new voters from the rolls.
I don't think it's particularly conspiratorial either.
There is plenty of documented evidence they've been doing it and I think it's stupid. Their argument really comes down to JC can't win the general, so we're gonna try and not let him in, while disenfranchising new and returning voters.

It's not like the rest of them can win, burnham came 4th last time, barely ahead of Diane Abbott... he's as popular as a wet fart on a hot sunday.

It's been pretty quiet the last few weeks but he's almost certainly won. The new voting system was supposed to reduce the influence of the Unions, it's actually increased it, and most of those votes will be for JC. Plus the several hundred thousand new members that paid the £3 fee to join, they mostly joined to vote for JC. Sure some of them will be "saboteurs" but only a tiny tiny %, not enough to make any difference.

I find it hilarious so many ex and current Labour MP's are throwing their toys out of their prams and screaming just because a democratic vote isn't likely to give the result they wanted.

Anyone but Burnham to be honest. That man has no opinions that he hasn't taken on to get votes and will change them in a second if he thinks the wind is blowing in another direction.

Yeah, even better for you if Tony Blair doesn't like you ;)

I kind of think Labour would struggle against the Tories no matter which one of them wins.

Burnham spends most of his time moaning about stuff he helped bring in.

Cooper is just a female Millibland

Kendall is just a Blairite twat

Corbyn is a wrecking ball for Labour, although Labour going extreme left could be good for balance, he is a clown but at least he stands by what he says, he is by far the least slimy candidate.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

It won't make much difference really, as it's all pantomime, but. Cameron will tie him in knots. Corbyn will spout irrelevant crap whilst saying er, and um a lot, and stumbling to get any kind of message across. He is a lousy orator. Just an idealist.

The left will then paint Cameron as arrogant, and posh, and just cos he can run rings around someone in debate, that just shows how out of touch etc,.....

Like I say, it's just pantomime and doesn't make much difference to elections etc, but I stand by it. Corbyn will be murdered in PMQ's.

Everyone of any note, and a few who are of no note whatsoever, are already ruling themselves out of a Corbyn shadow cabinet. It's going to be entirely made up of unknown lightweights. That's the way to grab hold of the agenda with both hands...

It's fun to be alive to witness the complete implosion of the Labour party.

He won't be eaten alive, he will simply stick to the facts and let Cameron hang himself by attacking the truth.
He won't last till the end of the year as soon as he starts spouting off his student union fantasy politics now he has an audience.

The thing is... I really dont think burnham or the others would do any better than Corbyn at the next general, so what's the harm? It's a bit like William Hague, IDS, Michael Howard - none of them were going to win a general.
They need to take some time and get some viable candidates.

I think Hague could have won a general but not at the age they put him forward at. Very good politician imo.

A couple of staunch socialists on my Fb feed think Corbyn won't get in as the right wing press tell people what to think. The same people I get my daily Guardian and Independent links from. And worship the BBC who haven't even mentioned all the shadow cabinet resignations yet. Ms Morissette you're on now.....

I don't think its too much of a stretch to imagine a total split within the Labour party before the next elections.

So true, it's not everyday you see something like this :)

I get the feeling a lot of people who voted from him don't even agree with some of his policies, views or are even that left-wing. TBH is just seems like he won, fuck the consequences, because the other candidates were so fucking bad. Didn't all the supposedly stronger candidates rule themselves out early on so we were left with those 3 smarmy, lying twats? Weird.

David Miliband went to run an aid organisation from new york instead, Ed Balls lost his seat at the election and Alan Johnson didn't run, so they ended up with a dogs resicked dinner as opposition to jcorbs.
