If that is the case then they should come to an arrangement whereby he gets his name taken off and any deposit/etc paid back to him. If he then wants to let her break his heart into pieces a second time then he's free to do so without being financially tied to her.

So you're not paying the rent and don't own the property, im abit confused, why not just inform the person you have the lease with that you are no longer in residence and have not been for some time(might want to leave that part out though if you want a reference for another place to live).

You have no deposit(extremely rare) what have you got to lose ? This thread just got abit weird tbh as i am now scratching my head wondering what the point was as people were asking questions on the 1st page that you didn't answer directly about ownership/paying rent, this just strikes me as very very odd
