Doesn't sound promising, even fanboi's haven't wrote positive about this. If it plays like Neverwinter.. screw that.

If you are looking for a game like WoW or DAoC this isn't the game for you.

If you enjoy Neverwinter...this is a game you should be interested in.

Played through the starting areas for 2 factions now, highly enjoying it. Combat not quite as fast or furious as Neverwinter but still lots of fun.

Graphically excellent, animations are pretty good, although the player run seems a bit odd at times. I'm actually liking the minimal UI. World is large and quite explorable. Dungeons have to be found rather than giant arrows showing you where they are.

Think of the PvE in this game as Skyrim Online. The PvP i can't comment on yet as i've only had a little dabble thus far. No issues with loading time here, had it on both my SSD and on a conventional HDD. My PC isn't amazing either, but i get constant 60 fps with most things on high.

The crafting is interesting, putting items together requires some different components, and then the 'style' of the item is based on a final component (with the option to add an enchant aswell)

So as I said above, if you are looking for a game that plays like WoW of DAoC, tab targeting, miles of action bars..dont bother you'll hate it. If you are open to the Action MMOs like Neverwinter, its certainly a game i'd recommend people look at.

I rather like it so far, though in a single-player RPG kind of way. Doesn't really feel like an MMO so far, though that might change.

Have anyone tried out the RvR?

I doubt those are the true fans, they weren't interested in an MMO to begin with because they knew it would be to much compromises in it..

Tried Dark Elf as a Nightblade now. And I found the winterlands to be much more entertaining! As well as the Nightblade a fun class to play. I might keep an eye out for this game afterall, but I'd like to try out the PvP before giving my opinion if I'll buy it or not! :)

The same.

I do feel however there needs to be greater feedback on when you hit something. At range with a bow if its not too far you can see the HP bar above the mob move just about. But in a tangle of mobs and players your moving and shooting so keeping track is harder. I'd like some audio or visual feedback on when a shot connects with a target.

Soon as I spawned into the main world as a Dark Elf I went "Ooh...Skyrim" and had a big grin on my face. That said the next zone (lets not spoil it) is pretty awesome to look at aswell!

Yeah, really agree here. Particularly felt that two-handed melee felt a bit "off", with regards to feedback.

Otherwise I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, will be getting it for sure.

on a side note, me and @BloodOmen were wondering how many points you get and how many skills you can cap. so far only worked out that you get at least 150 (1xlvl, + 300 skyshards/3) points, so seems there is likely to be quite a lot of stuff you can max on one char, was some concern about maxing "fighting" might stop you from being able to max crafting.
if anyones got any hard numbers id love to see them

Where did you get the 300 skyshards number from?

if you check Journal - Achievements - Skyshards.. it lists them by zone, with a quantity, along with a location tip "near the statues of the lions" and so on.. so i added them up :p

I saw an interview on this and how i understood it you can infact learn/max everything in the game but it will take a very long time. Once your 50 you can also gain more points by gaining veteran levels in pvp or by just gaining more xp, it's like 50+VL1, VL2 etc. Maxing everything i reckon will be like getting RR12 in daoc though.

Apart from all the bugged quests ( they did get fixed late last night ) i enjoyed the game but it's the pvp i really wanted to see and that wasn't available sadly, just hope i get into the next beta when it's open.

Tried it in the stress test as well. Was surprisingly alright. Very little hickups with client and server. Only annoying thing was lost sound on weapon animations after playing a bit. Horrible GUI though, hopefully it is moddable. And a few buff/debuff icons would be nice as well.

Did anyone get to try the AvA before they disabled it?

Sadly, by the time I was eligible to try RvR it wasn't available. Shame really as that's pretty much all I'm interested in.

tbh I really enjoyed it. Only got to lvl 3 but the spell system was alright, quests were okay although ui/quest tracking seemed a bit buggy (markers disappearing/reappearing etc).
I didnt know what to do as a mage in closeup combat, but thats just like skyrim so hey!
I like the progression as you use a spell, thats cool.

I wanted to give the game a chance so I tried all 3 realms with 3 different classes to level 12 and i took some time to figure out how all the crafting worked. I have to say melee classes feel weak later on compared to my sorc where i could blast mobs that were 3-5 levels higher then me. Also the animations for melee styles are abit boring and hard to see its range where you can hit, also no track how long a buff lasts or debuff.

I played Dark Elf sorc first and the hate came really because the first 3 quest were bugged the npc was not @ the right spot, so i frustrated already went looking for them, second no explanation about the crafting, i have little patience when it comes to crafting and when i cant figure it out in 5 min ill wont even bother, later on i took the time and was supprised that it worked kinda good.

So then i played High Elf nightblade, the class felt really weak compared to the sorc, but the starter area was alot nicer and after a while i got used to the combat.

Last i played Orc Dragonknigt and went for duall wield, i have to say i was supprised that i liked this char, the quests area was alot more fun then the other 2 realms and in no time i was level 12 again.

I have to check how much time the Internal testing from Camelot Unchained will take of my time a day, but i might just play this game for the pve/raids because i cant see this work in rvr, Sorc will blast everything to crap :p

A bit early to make assumptions of pvp balance from a low level beta stresstest :p

Seems you enjoyed it a bit more than your other post could give impression of though ;)

Yeah the first time the game really pissed me off, so many bugs and stuff were not working for me, and the starter area was really horrible for the dark elves. Then i decided to calm down and givf it another go and take it slow and start to read on the crafting part, and i really like dthe other realms starting area's. Story and questlines were way more fun.

Made a lizardy guy biased towards healing. Starter area was proper gorgeous (admittedly its a landscape type I really like). Some bugs but nothing too annoying. The NPCs in the wrong place could be found by talking on local channels. I have issues with certain features but I filled in the survey and gave what I hope was reasonably constructive feedback.

You're probably the only person in this thread that filled any feedback forms in...

It was awfully long and tedious. I reckon many didn't bother or just didn't care half way through it

I agree too. I couldn't really tell if I hit something or missed, except for the healthbar getting lower. DAoC is actually one of the few MMOs I've played where I got a good sense of hitting someone or missing , evading, blocking, etc.
It's still beta though, so..

The game seemed ok and I'm definitely going to buy it. The whole console feel wasn't something I liked too much, but I will hopefully get used to it. Same with the missing mouse cursor. Will I be able to pan my camera in RvR? :( At least they did a better job on the UI/menus than Skyrim did.
Except for the usual problems of logging in during a beta, the game ran surprisingly smooth, with very little lag. I'm not as excited for the game as I was before the beta, but I only got to lv 6 or 7. It will be interesting to see how PvP works out without any mouse targeting/clicking.

Trying to figure out what Raven's point of concern is this time

The fact that most whiners who play Beta tests don't ever fill in any real feedback and treat beta tests as some sort of early access. "OMGLOL I kept DCing, this game sucks!!!121 etc"

If you don't understand the original post then there isn't a great deal that can done I am afraid. You need to also read the post before mine.

Always so predictable with your passive-aggressiveness. Change the record ever?

I do, however, agree with the first part of your post and I did my best to fill in the end survey as thorough as possible.
