some classes get a basic heal line, but there are specific heal spec trees, so pootling around outside, anyone can top you up, in instances, you need a real healer.. or so i heard :X

So we are a bit on from the beta test. Some more thoughts on the game, filled in my survey with pretty much this

The games parts are all mostly excellent. Graphically its awesome, crafting excellent, story immersive. The world is alive and has lots of interesting things going on.. Combat however lacks something, theres no ummph "Yeah just killed that guy" or feeling that your really mashing people to death with a giant stick.

Also when i've i've played betas in the past for games I wasn't so into before hand, i got a "Oooh can't wait for this to come out" feeling afterwards, where i'd read up about the game as much as possible, check the dev blogs n stuff.

TESO hasn't given me that feeling. Maybe i'm getting old but it hasn't grabbed my imagination like other games have in the past.

I'm hoping there will be more beta time before launch. Atm its a questionable purchase for me due to the lack of grab in my mind, I can't place my finger on whats missing however, which makes me sad :(

Nah, i love MMOs. MMOs are 90% of the games i play :p Neverwinter & SWTOR being my current staple games

I can see the group play potential of the game, theres just something missing about it that means i'm not running in circles squealing like a child over it.

Might be that Elder Scrolls world isn't always for everyone. It is rather bland sword&magic in a nutshell afterall.

It's solid, goodlooking, immersive and all that, but at the end of the day if you look at say Skyrim, it's pretty basic.

Just a thought, not saying elder scroll games are bad etc etc :p

£50, they're having a laugh.

Although the US price doesn't include taxes I imagine so would work out pretty much the same.

this is the argument im having with the americans on the FB page atm, i dont care if its tax, wheelchair subsidy, or just having a laugh

WoW , swtor, etc, etc, all released in the 30-40 bracket, so they shouldnt be taking the piss

I wouldn't mind paying 12.50 a month to play if it was worth it, if I get say 40 hours over the month out of it then its still cheap. Still think its a bit much asking for more than the competition by an untested MMO company though, especially when they have set their RRP at such a daft amount. They have done it because that is the console RRP, it will bomb horribly on consoles though like any other MMO has, they are wasting their time even bothering with releasing it on consoles.

Have they announced a release date yet? if its May-July sort of time they will have the next WoW expansion to compete with and like it or not, it will sell by the bucket load.

I'll probably just pick up the digital imperial edition, mainly for the headstart. Price doesn't seem too bad.

The physical imperial edition however doesn't seem worth it unless you're really into having 30 cm figures standing around, though the book looks nice.

So, wondering what people are at after the sale weekend.

Myself and two mates have bought the game on the basis that, 25% discount is probably going to be the best pre launch, we all loved skyrim, and Elder Scrolls is a good universe.

We are probably going to be Ebonheart Pact, so we get Morrowind to roam around :)

this is worrying me a bit, is it preorder only ?

From what I understand, yes. It is what made my mind up to do the pre-order. You will be restricted to races within the Alliance faction only.

Yep.

The three of us got imperial editions. Coming from other MMOs the bonus of a free mount can't be overstated if you play more than one character :)

We are rethinking our faction choice atm. Apprently a poll showed the Ebon Pact to be massively over subscribed currently. As we can be wherever, still pondering :)
