well as norway introduced a smoking ban in its bars and resturants it seems like its going to be a trend like it or not

intrestingly though takings in bars in ireland have aparently dropped by 15% since the smoking ban

Yes but as said on numerous occasions this will only be temporary until people get used to non smoking bars then things will revert back to normal.

Time will get rid of the "I'm going to boycot the bars until the law changes!" thinking....

Why do you think that there will be a rise again? Don't smoking areas mean a dryer atmosphere, which would mean that people drink more (or more free salty peanuts are needed)

It'll probably encourage more chav-scum to sit on street-corners with B&H and White Lightning.

well apperently as far as resturants go they are putting tables outside

this means that smokers can still smoke it seems and if the smoke gets accidently blown in the resturant its tough titties

yeah but that still means that you can only eat there in the spring/summer (otherwise its to cold) when the wind isnt blowing to much and it isnt raining. Besides that it doesnt matter that much, when you smoke outside. It is allowed to smoke, it just isnt ok to bother other people with it and if you are outside that wont happen or alot less.

I wonder how many people will stop smoking, because of these bans. Certainly after ban on bars and restaurant some people would stop smoking and even less start doing it?
