Pre Eclipse there was GOS group with a couple of notable additions. Usually was Me/Lourker/Slayn/Firehawk/Eyeaslashy/some n00b called BFR /Idiurian (often spelled with Toirdhealbach or Etharion), sometimes Saxif or Jaenelle from Soul Pact. Tantalon in rubber outfit, thanks for inviting me to guild guys and fuck I've gained 120k today I'm now 3L5!!! Uncle Trel with his void bolts of doom, Zellrond and ofc Elanza pb of doom. Oh dont forget big Vind. A strong BM called Jude, often borrowed Oran with teh heals and our 45 regrowth firby druid I forget the name of, long quit /cry. Did pretty well with that group. Ofc Luuna too :x Was the days when you sometimes ran 1 druid and half the group would hide on inc and wardens were uber one on one.

Well remember Mugster playing a lot in groups, could possibly have been but he was in SP and ofc yourself a little later on (Elf druid!) Lourker and his yells of help in /g and it being Sousi... OFC everyone was firbies then... "Get off the f***ing walls in BOLD type from Uncle Trel....(in Bled or DC) The thing about Trel was they werent Macros and no1 knew how to repeat text and I'm quite sure he spent half the time going mad about ae targets. Also ofc pming the following messages 1) tell xxx to get down, 2 fsakes heals none again, tell them to fxxxing heal pls for godsakes! 3) Did you see that? Followed by xxxbolt blocked again Also his hatred of all things Melgar. Hi Trel, lub always! Ofc Trel was your mentor....


I remember Derric too, strong afkdruid with free popcorn for all. I do also recall coming back to the game and running with SP as 2fg SP on way to DC for retake (shock) and Warders (Thina/Klav n co) cleaning us up near Bolg. Not that they were invincible, but sure thought wtf has happened to the game. Game progressed a lot after that era, but needless it wasnt that bad fun.

at that time everlast was much higher realmrank then other mid grps and think highest active on shard. that was what np/ec blamed when they got kicked though they said sucky players with high rr

best guilds of certain eras imo ... no special order and not during whole time as I been inactive so much but sotl, lourker grp, nolby and pe are worth mentioning. i dont know what mid grps are like as i never fight them

And about topic, SoTL ran when there were no other set groups out (at least i can't remember any), same with old Warders, anyway it's not possible to compare groups from past with todays, game has changed too much

I remember first high RR ppl (and high RR hib in those days was like rr6-rr7) from hib didn't get their ranks from running strong fg-s, was more like playing early in the mornings and zerging, remember Trelawney, Saxif etc from hib leading em ... was fun, 3 warden groups, no bards almost ever ... etc

SoTL didn't have a "set" group in the early days, more like a balanced one, but becouse some people were more active i guess it might have seemed that way. When i joined Sotl it was basicly:

we need speed, we need mezz, we need heals and then some nukers and a tank.

Think it was after NP arrived with their 2(i think) opted groups that the "set" group of sotl showed up.

As for the best group ever i can only vote for the older ones since i haven't been active lately so i'll just put down the ones i remember as being über good (in no particulal order).

PE, SoTL, Warders, Eclipse, MM, NP and the Pbuck group

Probably missed out on a few, i'm old (not as old as GReaper ofc) and my memory doesn't always serve me well.

I mean, midget mafia just stopped playing basically after zerker nerf. and even before they werent the hardest grp around. Maybe when we ran without theurg they were

PE OF was the best grp ofc! atleast if you see the poll as the one to choose being the most dominating group of its time. Though cant really mix up pretoa and toa grps, as toa it became much more "risky" you can loose if you just make small mistakes, back in classic/si it could still be saved. In ToA imo the game is going much faster and requires more "skill" to play. pretoa i'd say knowledge>skill the most of the time :>
