Aada said:Well after playing both versions of Prey i can safely say i'll bet getting the PC version which blows away the 360 version.. i can run prey on MAX and it runs at 55-60 fps constantly.
360 version is yet another poor port.. it can barely keep at 30 fps fucking awful, im starting to think this console was a waste of money that i could have spent on another 2 gigs to make my pc 4 gigs of ram.
Add to the fact they still want to charge £50 for a poor port makes me think what the hell have i done.
cHodAX said:The Quake 4 / Doom 3 engine port is just very poorly designed, iD have done a total rush job with it and it shows. The graphics chip in the 360 is more than capable of running that game at 60fps but the engine is just plain sloppy, I could understand it if the levels were massive but I mean come on, Lost Planet has bigger levels and better visuals and runs as smooth as cream on the 360. Just shows you how far iD have fallen over the last few years, they can't even keep out with the tech battle anymore nevermind actually produce decent games.
Deacan said:Its only a PC port, not build from the ground up with the 360 in mind.
There is also the fact the Doom 3 engine is not very ATI friendly.
~Latency~ said:Ugh wtf feels like i'm playing a dated game :S some parts on the 360 were decent graphics but on the most part it looked dated tbh :S
Also, the interaction was quite good and the different ideas etc (bit with the giant) but it should have been more survival based imo - it feels WAY too arcadey/easy... TOO much ammo, npcs are stupid and easy to kill, the combat feels.. dumbed down to say the least ;[
Deacan said:I also hate the fact the enemies don't react to bullets.
Awful Animations, hardly a game to judge the 360's capabilities on
Deacan said:Tesco and Asda use the Jersey island tax dodge thats why their games usally retail for £40, The loophole gets fixed next year.
Still not bad £30 a pop, Still I've yet to see a game I really want to buy so far so i'll keep renting them.
Deacan said:I've still got Hitman on rental, Ernt had much time to play it.
Been playing Dynasty Warriors, nearly done it one more chapter to go, then i'll do Hitman again.
I started on Rookie as am shit at Hitman games but i've gotten alot better, so once I do the rest of Rookie I'll give the other game modes a try.
I also want to see what ChromeHounds mutiplayer is like.

Wonk said:bad animations, repetitive, short draw distance, however im finding it extremly fun.
I might even buy it![]()
Aada said:Yes these games are fun for the first day buddy but after that it starts to get really boring very fast.
Like i said atleast Dynasty Warriors knew what it was and didn't charge the full price but 99 nights is sure to have that lovely £40-£50 price tag.
Avoid it like the plague imo.
I was lucky enough to be invited to preview event of Dead Rising last week and that game is a awsome game and i'll be getting it no questions asked.
Capcom have pulled it off again with the Survival Horror genre.
Wonk said:I've played a few DW games on the ps2, and I didn't really enjoy any of them (I couldn't even tell the difference between them), but im enjoying this one alot.
Did you actually get to play dead rising, or just watch it?![]()
