that's atleast what they're saying on their webbie.

I played C & C on the PS2 back in the day and it was on a control pad which wasn't an issue at all.. you move around with the analogue stick and press A to do things.. just like a mouse?

Well after playing both versions of Prey i can safely say i'll bet getting the PC version which blows away the 360 version.. i can run prey on MAX and it runs at 55-60 fps constantly.

360 version is yet another poor port.. it can barely keep at 30 fps fucking awful, im starting to think this console was a waste of money that i could have spent on another 2 gigs to make my pc 4 gigs of ram.

Add to the fact they still want to charge £50 for a poor port makes me think what the hell have i done.

The Quake 4 / Doom 3 engine port is just very poorly designed, iD have done a total rush job with it and it shows. The graphics chip in the 360 is more than capable of running that game at 60fps but the engine is just plain sloppy, I could understand it if the levels were massive but I mean come on, Lost Planet has bigger levels and better visuals and runs as smooth as cream on the 360. Just shows you how far iD have fallen over the last few years, they can't even keep out with the tech battle anymore nevermind actually produce decent games.

It runs a dream on the PC version though, there is nothing wrong with the engine what so ever.. its the way they have ported it.. the engine is fine don't blame that.. blame their sloppy idea of ''oh hey i know lets milk it for all we can and make a half arsed port for those 360 fuckers.. we'll charge £50 too!''

Its only a PC port, not build from the ground up with the 360 in mind.

There is also the fact the Doom 3 engine is not very ATI friendly.

Downloading it atm but from what I read here i'm suprised ;[

Why are the ports so lame, the companies are fucking greedy as hell, put as little effort in as possible and are just looking for max returns

Not just that though, iD have been falling behind for the last couple of years and thier engines have not given great performance along with breath taking visuals. They are stuck in the era of FPS'ers with long dark corridors, thier engine isn't really capable of much else either, sure it can handle outdoors better than the old Quake engines but that isn't saying alot. They are miles and miles behind Crytek's Cryengine and UnrealEngine and till they totally ditch the Quake engine instead of constantly upgrading it they are going to fall further and further behind.

Ugh wtf feels like i'm playing a dated game :S some parts on the 360 were decent graphics but on the most part it looked dated tbh :S

Also, the interaction was quite good and the different ideas etc (bit with the giant :p) but it should have been more survival based imo - it feels WAY too arcadey/easy... TOO much ammo, npcs are stupid and easy to kill, the combat feels.. dumbed down to say the least ;[

Yep the 360 has dumbed down textures etc for sure.

I like the concept of the game no problem with that just peeved with the shoddy port.

Ah well least i don't have to pay 360 price for it now :)

I did like Chromehounds so i might check that out this week.

I also hate the fact the enemies don't react to bullets.

Awful Animations, hardly a game to judge the 360's capabilities on

Tesco and Asda use the Jersey island tax dodge thats why their games usally retail for £40, The loophole gets fixed next year.

Still not bad £30 a pop, Still I've yet to see a game I really want to buy so far so i'll keep renting them.

I've still got Hitman on rental, Ernt had much time to play it.

Been playing Dynasty Warriors, nearly done it one more chapter to go, then i'll do Hitman again.

I started on Rookie as am shit at Hitman games but i've gotten alot better, so once I do the rest of Rookie I'll give the other game modes a try.

I also want to see what ChromeHounds mutiplayer is like.

I sucked at the last Hitman game so much that i gave up.. this one i started on pro and stuck at it and its very cool. There is so many ways to do missions.

New Hitman is easy on Normal, not soo easy it stops you wanting to play though. Must be pointless on rookie mode.

Its a hack and slash game like that awful Dynasty Warriors.. but heres the kicker.. its going to be a full priced game.

Unfortunatly in this day great graphics don't make me want to buy a game anymore.

Yes these games are fun for the first day buddy but after that it starts to get really boring very fast.

Like i said atleast Dynasty Warriors knew what it was and didn't charge the full price but 99 nights is sure to have that lovely £40-£50 price tag.

Avoid it like the plague imo.

I was lucky enough to be invited to preview event of Dead Rising last week and that game is a awsome game and i'll be getting it no questions asked.

Capcom have pulled it off again with the Survival Horror genre.

I've played a few DW games on the ps2, and I didn't really enjoy any of them (I couldn't even tell the difference between them), but im enjoying this one alot.

Did you actually get to play dead rising, or just watch it? :)

Played it for 30mins i could have played for 2 hours but i didn't want to spoil the full version.

The game is amazing.. i love the fact that you can pretty much pick anything up in the game and use it.

I was in a supermarket and i could pick anything off the shelves to use :) can of beans? peas? how about a huge frozen chicken! then proceed to belt the zombies with it.

The game does get your heart racing when you are cornered by 100s of zombies (when i was in the supermarket they followed me in and wouldn't stop coming) and your fighting for your life trying to get past them.

The graphics are great too.. ok they aren't photo realistic but the game doesn't try to be that and as people have come to learn

gameplay>graphics any day of the week.

As i have said again.. Capcom have pulled another stunner off and you should expect a awsome game.
