Besides, a player was offside, which was called. He had no effect on play but by then too late, whistle had gone.

That was so much better from Newcastle. I was going to post at half time and say it would be good while it lasted but they'd probably implode after conceding. Trust them to be on a high the week before we play them.

You clearly don't know us, you'll probably knock 10 past us.

I put a few quid on us to win at around 60 minutes, I'm taking all the credit for the win!

I really don't believe Scouse is that stubborn with his nonsense tbh, but he can't back down now can he?

I've been consistent about this since forever. Football is greatly enhanced by the fact that it's a human game with human foibles.

It still makes my manc supporting mate laugh that Sunderland beat us through the use of a sneaky ninja beach-ball. I'd have to be some sort of giant cunt to not realise that A) it is actually funny and B) to be so upset by it that I'd want to take that away from him and stop the possibility of that ever happening in the future.

MONEY is the reason people are pushing for technology. Rich people who've invested a lot stand to lose out - and they'd rather rob the game of that richness and turn it to bland shite in the name of "fairness" than lose their cash to a fallable human decision.

I'd much prefer it if decisions were guaranteed to be correct. Like pretty much every other mainstream sport that has a backup verification system of some sort.

Yeah great, we'd have situations like the beach ball or we'd have Moreno scoring beast goals like that. That goal won't be remembered now.

4-0, ten minutes left and we're top of the table during the winter break, with a game in the bag

Is this our year, again, lads?

Non of the sports have a guaranteed correct system. The rugby world cup was full of instances of bad decisions. In tennis, I've watched hawkeye get it wrong. And even with cameras some decisions are so tight that you couldn't separate it anyway unless there was a rule change? The Bournemouth goal yesterday for example it could have been disallowed and no one would have batted an eye lid.

And the fact of the matter is, football's fun, sure, but it's not a patch on spending time with your mates and having them belly laugh - the sheer unfairness and the intangible pisstaking and humour that goes on around it would be lost forever.

Only in 'Murica apparently. Even then it would be up to the ref's discretion. A foul can be awarding for trolling apparently, whether that includes flair play too, who knows.
