1.5 mil to the tax man.
10 mil to the council.

How a 2nd division side who pull in around 5k supporters a week can even think it is a good idea to get into that sort of debt is beyond me. Its pretty fucking farcical.

Everyone knows the mysterious take over bid was all about the land and would never materialise anyway.

Looks like I will need another team to support soon. MK Dons are the nearest I suppose. ffs

You'd better hope Sturridge doesn't break again. :\
Currently we've only got him fit - and even then he's not there yet. I don't like the look of Origi so I don't count him. He's got flop written all over him.

It should be a weird one this weekend. We're definitely without Son, Mason, Bentaleb (all coming back from injury) and Dier (5 yellow cards) so our midfield is going to be a bit light.

Thats like hoping winter does not occur this year :(

But Benteke should be back next weekend so then we at least have cover. If Sturridge breaks against you we are fecked.

I think Origi can prosper in a Klopp system as a winger. He got pace and technique (people say, havent seen it yet!), if he can press he can come good.
He will never be spectacular but he could at least become useful imho.

Just reading through the AGM and I hope there is some serious action taken against Keswick. His constant patronising answers just go to show how little he cares about the minor share holders. It is not the Arsenal way, we are meant to be a club ran for the good of the fans yet he seems more interested in protecting Silent Stan than honestly answering questions. Wenger and Gazidis were excellent again but the club should never let the Chairmen disrespect the fans in that way.

Hah. Highest season and matchday ticket prices in the league. The good of the fans. Hah.
I do understand this but with 97% renewals and a 10 year waiting list why would they drop the prices?

Previouly they could say all the money was being invested back in the club and the fans could stomach that. Now with £200m in the bank and an even bigger Premier League cheque coming I see that changing though. Especially if the Yank starts to take money out for himself.

But it is not just about ticket prices as they do have other options. Category C games for £20 each. £10 for junior gunners. £10 COC tickets. Members days all the community work. Arsenal have always been a club run in the right way.

Does anyone know if other clubs also bundle the Cup tickets in with the season ticket? That BBC article never seems to make that clear but across the 26 games our season ticket covers that comes out at £39 a game. If the Spurs one only cover the 19 league games they come out at just over £40 a game. Chelsea at 19 games are £39 too. Unless all the other clubs give you 26 games it just seems like am important part of the story to just ignore. Our season tickets cost the same per game as our London Rivals. The BBC do say this but don't then explain the maths.

Arsenal have the most expensive season ticket in the Premier League at £2,013. Their cheapest season ticket remains £1,014, and is still the most costly in the Premier League - £249 more than the next highest. However, both Arsenal season tickets include seven matches in cup competitions.

Whilst I didn't agree with his comments about the ref after the Southampton game, I think he's got it pretty much spot on there.

Personally I think it's a bit daft that the only member of the entire football circus who is above criticism is the referee, perhaps they should stop employing such delicate little flowers who need personal reinforcement the entire time.

Well, they seem to need it from Jose, as the other managers seem to get off with saying what they want....

In isolated cases, not every week...and its not like all the decisions are going against Chelsea, they get plenty of decisions go their way. He moans they should have had a penalty in a game where the opposition probably should have had 2.

He could have just accepted his bollocking and fine for being a twat and just got on with it after the international break. Fresh start for both him and the squad. But no, same old nonsense to smoke screen the problems and thus ignore them.

Nah. It's about preserving their authority. They do a difficult job and are imperfect like everyone else. The criticism makes the job harder and more prone to error so managers being the whiny little bitches they are make their own lives harder.

Yeah, referees make clangers. But that's part of the game tbh.

Rightly or wrongly, there is too much money at stake now at the top level of football for the all too regular mistakes to just be 'part of the game'. Top flight referees are well remunerated employees of the premier league, and should absolutely not be above scrutiny and comment.

I don't know how you get to become a premier league referee, but it seems clear that a few of them are not up to it. With the amount of money flying around football, i'm sure a lot could be done to make becoming a referee a viable career path for people, and leaving the leagues with more professional refs as a result.

They'd find it a lot easier to preserve their authority if they didn't get things so catasphically wrong so often.

I have a lot of respect for the refs, It's a thankless job and you will be constantly attacked.
I would think the requirements are pretty though, apart from the physical part of course.
Also take into account that they have to make split decisions, from a different perspective (physical position), and without any kind of video replay. Add to that the toll of running around on a pitch takes on your decision making, players that try to influence you, either by faking, or by shouting at you. All in the plain view of thousands of loud supporters surrounding you, millions of people watching all over the world (yes, even for regular league games), instant scrutiny and/or ridicule on the internet, and the FA to put sanctions on you if you fold to badly under pressure.
So I can't imagine that there's all that many people who are up for the job, or even willing to take it on.

With all that said... I shout at the fucking refs just as much as anyone else when things don't go my (teams) way. :)

Woot, logged into my skybet account. £71 in there. Forgot about putting money on the Spurs, Swansea game. £1 on 2 all with Ayew to score first.

Yeah, so I put £1 of that on city to win 5.1 and Stirling to score first at 120/1
