It's dumb because loans aren't there to shuffle off players that you don't want in your first squad (that's what selling is for)... it's the parent club trying to improve the player (either for the future of the player at that club or to increase his value). So he has a lot to be grateful to Spurs for (chances are he wouldn't be in the Prem if we hadn't bought and developed him, he came straight to us from League One after all) and he's decent enough to show it and this Sean Birt guy is stoopid.

And I'm actually quite happy being a Spurs fan... at the moment.
