Out of Europe :( Gutted that we keep throwing it away like we do

3 aways and three goals in stoppage time costing us five points. We would have been top of the group

“In April of 2014, a whistleblower from the FIFA Executive Committee approached the aforementioned [private investigator] with claims that the Russian bid delegation had attempted to bribe senior officials with gold bullion. Specifically, the individual claimed to have seen a Russian representative drop a gold bar in front of an approaching Conmebol official on his way to the FIFA Executive Committee vote. Investigating these claims, we have concluded that this incident was indeed accidental, as claimed by Russian officials when pressed on the issue. The Russian official [REDACTED] indicated that he has a penchant for misplacing insignificant objects. He also indicated that during the course of the Executive Committee meeting, he had lost track of a ballpoint pen, a pair of prescription sunglasses, and the deed to a newly-built oil refinery in Siberia. This investigatory panel finds no grounds for further investigation into the matter.”

So many rumours across the web today regarding Messi and Chelsea making a move for him next summer. Sources come from Spain, Argentina, Brazil and England too.. Would be fun to see how he would handle a cold December night at Stoke. Also whether Mou would bench him his first match, just for shits and giggles :p

I'm not saying that it is happening, but I've seen it mentioned numerous times, some various sources

Won't happen, but I supposed we could fit him in if it was in any way a realistic possibility. ;)

There'd be more chance of me listening to a Daily Mail article than one from The Express.

He wouldn't do as well in England as Spain. For the simple already mentioned, cold evening at Stoke. Which is the reason Ronaldo > Messi every time. It doesn't take an exceptional player to score 20 odd goals in La Liga when every team except 3 are basically championship sides.

Yeah they didn't seem to use the wings much, you can say it was an improvement on last year against Sunderland however :p

Never going to be possible to keep it up playing so well every game and winning every game, definitely agree we were worryingly narrow though. Was surprised Jose didn't make more significant changes at half-time, but then again I'm not entirely sure there was a whole lot he could do other than making the team play wider. Always going to happen occasionally though when you play three players across the front three who all want to be #10s.

In the mean time, I hope they fuck up on Wednesday! No Costa, which I suppose is as good a life line as we're gonna get.

Shame, not Southampton's best performance of the season by a long way. Bastards could have done us a favour. :p

The standard of refereeing is just becoming a joke. I don't understand how it's possible that they can be so bad, so consistently and nothing is done about it.
