I can't believe I still get excited about games between two big teams when Chelsea are involved, disappointing every time.

Despite the defeat, we were superb in position for large portions of the match, and I thin it bodes really well for the future that we were able to go there with the changes we had to make and look comfortable for 90% of the time.

Teams with players like Hazard and Fabregas are always going to be able to change a game, and I think Utd did a great job of reducing their impact. Unfortunately we got caught out due to Falcao being a little bit light weight on the half way line, I think with Carrick in there and Rooney in his current form upfront we'd have gotten something from the game.

Gabby a big loss for us today, would have fancied him to give Liverpool a lot of problems today. We'll have to hope the Nzogbia that wants to play, and knows how to play, turns up today ... which is by no means a given. I think it will be close and I think we'll do them, the lack of a recognised forward in the Liverpool team is very odd given that this Villa team goes into a full blown panic at the slightest hint of danger.

Good performance from Villa there. Delph and Grealish did a great job in midfield

Lollerpool's seemingly recent decline I'm a tad worried
Your... recent decline?
Yeah, I know we're winning but watching them I get the feeling we're only just getting it over the line and that we're actually on a downward rather than upward slope of performance.

...called it :(

Ah well. At least I was having fun fucking about on my MTB with the bird in the Lake District instead of watching us do shit again :)

Fairly sure Porto must of committed suicide to be getting hammered like that.

No, Bayern are just that good. Müller is a fucking beast. That assist to Lewandowski, wow. 98 out of 100 people would have hammered that ball into the crowd instead of making the assist. The other guy is Zidane btw

The man may well be a clown but he has a point :D

Wenger provoked the Blues boss this week, saying: "It is easy to defend."

Mourinho retorted by mentioning Arsenal's Champions League last-16 exit in February, saying: "It's not easy. If it was easy, you wouldn't lose 3-1 at home to Monaco."

Sounds like an excellent result for Everton, starting to get some form at thankfully the right time - Hopefully it can continue right up until the end. Makes a change from a few month ago when we were in relegation fodder form!

1 pen each and two dives for me. Great game played at an amazing pace and could go either way.
