Watched some videos of Osvaldo and he looks sick. Hopefully he will be a great signing. Apparently he's been a massive cunt at Roma though, but he did play for Pochettino at Espnayol so he knows what he's buying. I think that'll be it for spending now. Even though we're a debt free club, I don't know how sustainable a £35m spend per season is.

Seemingly it is Michu for £25m now.

Somewhere else said we have agreed £12m for Williams at Swansea too.

But it looks like Wenger just came out saying something like we can't rush to purchase players after the loss we need to make sure any transfers are well thought out.

The AST has withdrawn support for Wenger. So if this is a plot to get the fans behind sacking him then they have what they want.

Wise move. It is not like he has just had three months to look for suitable players

I think someone needs to send Mr Wenger a calender with the transfer windows clearly marked. Doesn't want to rush? He only has a couple of weeks left, if he moves any more glacially he will run out of time. I also can't see Swansea selling Michu and I doubt he would even want go. I know they got thumped at the weekend but they are a very good side, as good as Arsenal at the moment.

Who is obviously a reaction to the recent injuries and not a target we have been following all summer. Brilliant.

£10m for Cabaye is LOLworthy even after his poor last season. Ashley won't sell him for anything less than £15, if not more.

£10m is a low offer but it is a opening offer. Arsenal do not know Newcastles number. If we come in and offer £18m then find out he has a £13m release cause we look like arseholes (even bigger) so you start low and go up. Selling club start high and go down.

Thing is, while I think Cabaye is a classy player, I really don't think he's the sort of player to transform a team. Not like Higuain would have done for example.

And it's not like Arsenal don't have enough technically gifted midfielders at your disposal. Speaking as an outside, you need someone with a big physical presence and a proper goal scorer.

Yep Fellaini with his £23.5m release clause was the player to get especially as he said he wanted to come :(

I don't know why you didn't try harder for Capoue, you were interested in him a while back.

Could be difficult now Moysey is after him, can see Utd coming back with a much improved offer though after the last one being laughed at.

That is Wengers big problem. £20 million for some youth sensation. It is ok to buy the finished product once in a while Arsenal. You did not want to risk £15m on Capoue ok that's fine. But Fellaini is proven premiership quality. Rather than that we will pay over the odds for some Utd reject.

Why is it that whenever Arsenal make a bid it gets leaked?

What's going on at Arsenal doesn't make sense to me - I feel we are missing a big piece of the puzzle - may need to wait for Wenger's memoirs before we find out what's really going on.
