From what I remember it was a loan with an option to buy just like last season. It was not a £5m fee and him off your wages kind of a deal I think he would have gone if that was the case.

Ps: He was utter crap for Denmark tonight ;)

To bed in new players and try something different...

Rather than play the list of names and hope for the best.

But its not really the same as playing in a crunch game - it can't really assess how they will cope in something like a world cup?

Initial reports are saying Eriksen is out for 4-6 weeks. Merde. Oh well, I guess we'll see what Holtby can do. It also opens up a spot for Lamela to get some decent minutes on the pitch.

Oh, Koscielny (about 40 seconds in).

He is an idiot for losing his temper that that tackle was out of order. The stupid part by doing that he insured the guy got away with a studs showing high tackle.

Cahill was shocking last night, even below his normal pitiful standards. Really cannot understand why some Villa fans consider him the second incarnation of Paul McGrath, or why a team with Premier League title winning ambitions would buy him. Bog standard central defender who scores a few goals and has a nice haircut.

Nicklas Bendtner has revealed he wants a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona when he leaves Arsenal.

Bendtner attempted to leave the Emirates Stadium in the summer having fallen out of favour with Arsene Wenger, but is now training with the first team again as back-up for Olivier Giroud.

And the 25-year-old, who has previously faced criticism for perceived arrogance, also insisted he does not consider money to be the most important factor when choosing a new club.

When asked whether he 'chases the money', Bendtner told Politiken: "I do not. It is the sport that is the most important. I'm going somewhere where I know I can be happy to play.

"With a team where I can score goals and preferably to win something. I do not want to be sitting on the bench and staring. I love playing lots of games."

Then, when pressed on where he saw his next club, the Gunners striker replied: "If I could decide, Real Madrid or Barcelona."

It dose not seem far enough out there to be the Daily Mash. And he is not saying he deserves to play for either club just where he would like to go.

Not like he said 'I will be going to Madrid', he said he'd like to play for one or the other of two of the best clubs in the world. Who wouldn't? Hacks making a story out of a nothing comment as ever.

Yeah but perhaps if he lowered his expectations a notch or two then people wouldn't think he's so arrogant. He's not good enough to play for Arsenal let alone RM or Barça,

It wasn't an expectation, it was a wish. And there's nothing wrong with that, except he should know by now that context is everything and no journalist will worry about quoting you out of it. If anything the worst he can be accused of naivete.

You are lucky enough to avoid most of the shit journalism that makes up the UK national press.

He is still going to mis the next two Man U/C games..which is no so good 4 mr. Eriksen.
Yup but it's a shorter recovery time than if he had ruptured ligaments so it's better than it could've been. Also, I'm looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Lamela doing his thing so it could give him a real chance to establish himself in the prem squad (with a bit of jiggling around on AVB's part - probably Holtby can play the number 10 role).

Basically what he answered was, if he could freely choose (dream) to play for any club in the world, which would it be:
The answer Barca or RM....

Lamela is a greater threat to C.E than Holtby..so I hope he plays Holtby ;)

Lamela is going to be a superstar when he hits his stride. I was thinking Holtby in the middle and Lamela on the wing, though. :)

Aye but still, Lamela is also(like C.E) a creative kind of player, Holby is more (stable) than both C.E and Lamela...So...if AVB decides the Holtby/Lamela combo works
it wont look to peachy for C.E.
