Chelsea have failed to see the funny side of a billboard poking fun at Fernando Torres outside Stamford Bridge, after reportedly bringing in the lawyers to get it removed.

Torres, whose poor form since joining Chelsea in a £50million deal has been the butt of many jokes, was picked on by bookmakers Paddy Power for their latest advertising campaign.

On a giant billboard just yards from the Blues’ Stamford Bridge home, it brazenly poked fun at Torres with a picture of an onion bag and the words: ‘FERNANDO. We’ve got an onion bag you can actually find. It’s in the burger van mate. Get your hair net on’.

A photograph of the board has been shared thousands of times on social media, but according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have not seen the funny side and have brought in a legal team to try and have the poster removed on image rights grounds.

They are yet to be successful with their quest to have it taken down, and the issue could even end up in court if it is not resolved.

Don't say it like that, it implies he's leaving now.

Surely he understood his job title when he signed up?

Can't wait for the reception he gets on the weekend, it'll be much worse than before.

I don't get why Chelsea fans were booing him tonight after a victory anyway.

They never wanted him was the line of the fans spokesperson today - as usual the more poisonous players didnt take to him so another chelsea manager bites the dust.

You get the feeling abramovitch is just treading water until he can get the special one back...

Because they lack class.

Demonstrate outside the ground - get behind the team inside the stadium. They've done their best to bring performances down and it's obviously worked.

Funny tho. They'll reap what they've helped to sow.

Bit different this time because he was always going anyway. Don't see what's changed except that maybe Rafa thought he was in with a shout now that the courting of Guardiola has gone tits up.

they've shown flashes of being a good team, but its very much reliant on Suarez and they've been so inconsistent. I don't see them getting top 8 to be honest, and they'll be in a lot of trouble if Suarez decamps in the summer.

The only way Liverpool could "catch" them is if Chelsea free-fall down the league with all the nonsense. I reckon they'll be lucky to get a Europa League place.
