He'd need to improve his passing at a top club, his % complete is quite poor (sub 75% IIRC).

Knocked out of our only realistic chance of a cup at home to Blackburn that is not fucking good enough. Why did we leave our best players on the bench? Surely getting a lead then resting players is the way to go in a match that we should be taking very seriously.

I think that game highlighted how shit Arsenal's squad/back up players are. Gervinho, Diaby & Coquelin are no where near good enough.

How the fuck is Wenger still a manager at ArseAnal is beyond me. Abramovich should give lessons on manager sacking to the owners :p

Can't argue with that when I saw Diaby, Rosicky, Coquelin and Gervinho all starting I had a bad feeling.

Because the Arsenal Fans and Board are not spoiled little kids who think the only answer is sacking everyone :p

On a serious note i am not sure what the obsession with the 8 years is. Our "right" to a trophy ended with the Chavs got the money and got even less so when City got theirs. To make my feeling clear I do not care about the 8 years. I do care about not trying to win a game like this.

Arsenal can just about compete in the league so they can't afford to fuck about in cup competitions. They have to rest the main players. I did not see the match but I get the impression Arsene is going to fuck off the shit competitions and concentrate on the EPL. They are 5th in the league at the moment so if they get an injury in the Happy Shopper cup it's hardly going to do them any favours.

Arsenal either have cheap owners or want to pay off debt (if they even have any?) To pay off debt they need good EPL standings to gain a spot in the Champions League. If they get that they can either concentrate on debt or buy better players.

Not the case as said before our problem is wages and being self sustaining. We will not go into more debt to sign superstar players on massive wages. Until we can have a big clear out and get rid of the average players on big wages we just can only afford per week what we sell. The only other option would be setting aside 5 years of wages in cash which we seem to have but their must be a reason why they don't do that.

I like watching Arsenal, if only to hear the very danish commentator trying to sound french each time he mentions Wenger's name.

Rosicky was the best player for me. What really pisses me off is the game plan. They shoot in crosses from left and right and no one is attacking them. 50% of the crosses are bad, 49.9% no one is there and 0.1% we get something on it. Even at slightly less than a 100,000 a week we should expect wingers to be able to cross the bloody ball. Giroud keeps back peddling instead of attacking crosses, so frustrating watching him play. if we are going to play this way we should have bought Andy Carrol ;)

The game plan was failing, we could all see that after 20 mins. The only real clear cut chance which Gervinho bolloxed up was from a quick break when they did not have 10 men in the penalty box. We should have drawn them higher up the pitch and hit them fast. Their keeper did well with a couple of great saves he was a game winner for them.

Yeah Thomas had a great game but his great games are outnumbered by his average games just like Diaby. So seeing the two of them had me worried there is too much potential for a disinterested under performing midfield.

Watch Giroud in France and he attacked the ball plenty it is what he was good at. It is why I though he would do well for us as it has been apparent that we need someone to get into the box for a while now. But now he is playing for us he is playing like all other strikers we buy. I have started to wonder if it is our game plan to have the striker drop back but seeing as we hardly ever score from range that would seem odd. I can't see why else so many strikers that could score headers before come to us and stop making the runs. You know Giroud can do it as he has scored a few times this season with runs at the near post.

And yeah plan b is sorely missing just like Swansea in the league you could see how that would end from 20 minutes in. Wenger think superior fitness will mean that clubs who defend well can only do it for 75 minutes so in the last 15 we will get our own way. What he seems to have missed is all premiership and loads of championship teams train to the same standard so have the same fitness so its not really working.

Cahils fake injury saved him there. Over the ball studs showing and not even a warning, lucky boy.

For the high boot? I must have missed that.

I think the writing is on the wall. Frank has already missed twice it is only a matter of time till one deflects in ;)

Some of the most absurd refereeing I've ever seen in this game.

Not just that, Cahill should have been sent off as well. Then again, the ref also seems to have given free reign to Brentford to kick our players off the pitch. I hate games like this, the whole paradigm of 'effort' and being 'brave' - which is the worst of all, these players aren't 'brave' they're doing their job. It's as if Brentford 'deserve' something out of this game just because they're in a lower league. Bullshit. Those players are there because they're not good enough to play in a better league, so while it's impressive that they did so well in the first leg and are doing so again in the first half of this game all we're encouraged to do by the moronic commentators is to give them a patronising pat on the back and say "well done, guy!".

Knew Frank would get one. I still hate the chavy bastard but the way he is handling himself through this contract mess is top class.

I think Frank seems to be a master of PR, we all seem to think the club are the tumbling block over a new contract. We don't' really know what he's been offered or what he's asking for.

A Chav mate suggests the Chel$ki offer is £60k and Franks demand is the £120k he is on.
