Good result, game was a bit stagnant though. Return leg should be much better with both teams attacking.

Utd did what they had to do. And probably had the more clear cut opportunities

Utd were given no time on the ball, Real chased them down well. Utd gave the ball away far too often from the back and midfield. Thought the referee was shite, very inconsistant. Rafael, Ramos and Real left back all lucky to stay on the pitch.

Overall Utd will be pleased to get away with that one. Game on at OT in three weeks.

Bale is a good player, but people really need to tone it down with the whole 'he's as good a Ronaldo, Messi etc' he really isn't THAT good, he's a talent for sure, but I wouldn't put him anywhere near them.

I hate him because he is a spud but some of my colleagues think he is too one dimensional. And a decent defender with pace who just shows him the wing can nullify him.

Yes he can be nullified by fast defenders but it tends to open them up elsewhere in the defence.

Hes a good player - I just worry that we seem too dependant on him currently...

just look at the utd match. He was pretty non-existant because they just removed the ability for him to use his pace. Without that he does very little most the time.
He a very good player... worldclass? no chance. He nowhere near messi and ronaldo

I think hes faster on the break than Ronaldo but Ronaldo is a more complete player who can keep posession a lot better - they both take awesome free kicks though. What a bloody shame he plays for Wales though - Sob

I can't stand him, but only because of how much the UK media suck him off on a daily basis.

I think he is quality, no...he is no Messi or Ronaldo but then he wouldn't cost 80 mil...

If he removed his diving I think he would fit in nicely at pretty much any top club.
