Answers to what? Your club having a good history? What is there to answer to facts? The point I was making is that your attitude towards it, along with every other Liverpool fan I know, is abhorrent. I celebrate the fact that my club is going through a good period, I enjoy it, but I guarantee you in ten years time if Chelsea are shit again I won't spend my time harping on about how great we used to be. And I certainly won't get my kicks from being an egregious little prick who spends their time crying about how everyone hates my club, then spending the rest of my time being as irritating as possible to ensure it continues.

Once again, a ranting paragraph of demostrable bollocks.

Paraphrasing the argument: Lethul made a post about in response to Raven's Liverpool-hate to which I lent my sympathy and the United-supporting DaGaffer made a classy retort.

My first post after that was to congratulate DaGaffer on having a quality class of hate and to have a pop back at Raven - whilst at the same time admitting that Liverpool are a second-rate team.

I soon post a factual argument - 1) we have trophies & history, 2) we can't compete, 3) PL is about money.

You call me a "deluded prick" and "hilarity" ensues.

Yeah but as others have said, City will offer higher wages than United, simple as that. Now RvP may turn out to be classier than average footballist (and I suspect he is) which probably wouldn't work for United either, but at least City wouldn't get him. I hope I'm wrong but I have this queasy feeling in my stomach that the remains of United's signing ambitions for the Summer is Leighton Baines...

on the subject of friendlies, i looked into getting tickets to see united v barca in gothenburg as its only a few hours on the train... all 40,000 tickets sold out in less than a hour... for a friendly!

Only some American team but I miss watching Chelsea, and it's a good opportunity to see some younger players, although preseason games are usually dire so perhaps i wont. Apparently they average 38k for league games, not bad for soccer.

It's Utd v Barca, not that surprising, Sweden dont get to see decent football often

I hate them but respect them, the fans can be a complete nightmare to the point where you want to murder them with a blunt spoon but I know some Liverpool fans who are cracking lads. Sadly it is always the loud loonies letting the side down, United have plenty as well and I cringe when the fuckers open their mouths.
