To be fair unlike in a FA charge the context in which words are said should make a difference in Law. There was enough doubt there to stop a charge as you should not be branded a racist for saying "I did not call you a fucking black cunt".

But the FA proved with Suarez that context and intent does not matter a jot so bring on the 8 game ban! I will not hold my breathe. Instead there will be statement saying as the Courts cleared him there will be no charges laid against him by the FA.

Otherwise Ferdinand could also be investigated for saying it as well - if context is irrelevant then he would also be guilty - I believe there were witnesses to him running to the half way line shouting it.

No. I suggest you watch the video again. You can see the abuse, but NOT the what comes before it. He claims to have said it, but the video is blocked by passing players. No-one else heard it. I don't know where you're getting that information from because it's plainly wrong and not what h as been documented as being shown in court.

Even the judge thinks he's guilty, but unfortunately in todays 'justice' system no one can be convicted without substantial evidence that puts any case beyond doubt. There are probably hundreds of people that the police know for a fact are guilty but are still walking free without a criminal record etc, don't be deluded enough to think that a lack of conviction and innocence are the same thing
