Anti-Racism charity's are calling for Terry and both Ferdinand brothers to get FA Bans. This could start to enter silly season and I can see why Arsenal appear to have advised players to stop using Twitter, it is far to east to say something stupid and have it explode.

Don't know why Newcastle want him, especially as Pardew came out in the press assuring Ba of a central role. Only think I can think is that they've had a few good offers for Ba or Cisse.

If they can buy him for £10m it's not a bad bit of business, even if you disregard the fact that they sold him for £35m the year before. He's not a *bad* player, he was just waaaay over-valued previously. I would say £10-15m would be about his actual worth.

And fucking lol if it goes through, if I was Newcastle I'd be pushing for it just to lol at Liverpool. And even more lol if he slid gracefully back into Newcastle's starting 11 and starting banging goals in.

The Danish season has started and Copenhagen turned a 0-2 with a man down to 4-2 at home!

Love it :D

Ba has a £7m release clause from what i read. So AC might just be a bit of Insurance in case he is poached. For £7m I would not might Arsenal taking a punt when RVP leaves.

Pardew is the kind of manager I can see going with a big man and a 99 pace black guy up front in a 442. Maybe Ba would be a bench warmer as he tailed off greatly in the second part of last year as Cisse stole the show, and Carroll improved as the year went on for lol fc. Wouldn't be surprised to see him move on though and think he could warm the bench at a better club than Newcastle and be a bit part player for someone like, as you say, Arsenal. I think he would be a good fit at spurs and if its true he is available for 7m, I'm surprised they didn't look at him over Adebayor, especially as Defoe seems to be packing his bags.

It's funny because Rodgers is a shithouse of a manager, when he's sacked by December we can all laugh even more at Lollerpool FC.

Not enough of a wage contribution in their bid... so it's please try again from Pool, rather than out right rejection.

Oh and Wazz, fix your spreadsheet. England just won world cup 2014 in my game, and won it by outclassing the opposition in each game.... with Pearce as manager. :(

Well, I agree that Twitter is a disaster - though not for the reason you gave.

The problem with Twitter is that people want to stop other people saying what they think. When humans disagree with other humans it's not enough for them to think "I disagree with that" - they think "I disagree with that - and that other person should DIE AND HAVE HIS WORDS BANNED FOR LIFEZ0rRRRrrR!err$R"2r22r"

Twitter just shows humans up for being A) the dumb monkeys we are, and; B) the natural facists that we are.

Evidence? The very next post:
Most of the population...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18850955 < teh lulz! Another great bit of business by Liverpool, reminiscent of the Robbie Keane deal.

Interesting sidebar in that story:
Fernando Torres - £50m Liverpool to Chelsea, Jan 2011
Sergio Aguero - £38m Atletico Madrid to Manchester City, July 2011
Andy Carroll - £35m Newcastle Utd to Liverpool, Jan 2011
Robinho - £32.5m Real Madrid to Man City, Sept 2008
Andriy Shevchenko - £30.8m AC Milan to Chelsea, July 2006
Dimitar Berbatov - £30.75m Tottenham to Man Utd, Sept 2008
Rio Ferdinand - £29.1m Leeds United to Manchester United July 2002

Of those Top 7 British Transfer Records - of which Andy Carroll is third - only Sergio Aguero and Rio Ferdinand have worked out.

Two out of seven.

Methinks the reason Andy and Liverpool's backs are being constantly humped on - rather than City, Chelski or United's, is a lot of anti-Liverpool sentiment tbfh.

Chelski have two fails. United have a 50% hit rate, as do City. Liverpool have the single fail - and the only reason the had the money to spend was that Chelski poached Torres and they needed a striker, Carroll was looking awesome and on-form and we told Chelski - "Carroll + 15 million"...

Hmm, I'd say Berbatov is a bit more complex than a "fail" (more a change of system) and he has been top scorer at United. United have had far more clear cut failures on their books than Berbatov. Its also too early to write Torres at Chelsea off.
