I don't give fuck what goes on at a football match, the combined IQ is about 14 and most of the crowd are 3 genes away from the missing link.
They routinely shout abuse so foul as to bring into question their sanity.
I think there is every chance he was a cunt who happened to be black.

True enough. But that doesn't absolve Terry either who's a white cunt. :)

No. I think Suraez used the term negrita off-hand and Patrice Evra - who's no saint - made a complaint to the FA after the fact because he's a cunt. If he was serious he'd have made a complaint to the police - which he didn't for obvious reasons (i.e. the CPS would have never taken it to court - it would have been thrown out). Surarez admitted using the term negrita once, not repeatedly, to the FA. The FA took a political stance and banned him on nothing more than the word of Evra.

I bet Suarez wished it had gone to court.

The Terry case is different in that he used an obviously racist term and, frankly, he's probably backpedalling to cover his arse. He'll get found not guilty tho.

Go on, overlook him pinching Evra's skin and using the word nergo, that is the part you Liverpool fans ALWAYS like to leave out.

Terry admitted in court that he had used the words "black cunt":

Let's not forget that there is a contextual argument to be made in both cases, but you can't have it both ways - you want to ignore the fact that Terry has consistently denied CALLING Ferdinand a 'black cunt', but admitted using the phrase in questioning Ferdinand ("I didn't call you a black cunt" or whatever") but you expect everyone to subscribe to the view that what Suarez said was okay because it CAN be used as a term of endearment. You can't simplify one case down to terms that suit your views but not the other.

Well done - you're a hypocrite

The bottom line is they're both odious and stupid cunts in their own right.

  • Rule E3(1): "A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour."
  • "In the event of any breach of Rule E3(1) including a reference to any one or more of a person's ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, sexual orientation or disability (an "aggravating factor"), a Regulatory Commission shall consider the imposition of an increased sanction."
So, any reference to a players colour is enough and Suarez did so while pinching Evra's skin to make it even more blatent. It was enough for him to be found guilty and is a far more obvious breach than what Terry, that is why his legal team are playing every angle in the book to seed doubt. With Suarez there was no real doubt, LFC just tried to create some in the aftermath and failed spectacularly.

Drogab refused to sign a statement of support.

As did Mikel: "Jon Obi Mikel who was next Terry when he shouted words that brought him to trial also didn't sign a statement in support of Chelsea captain"

The post that I quoted was to rebuff Raven on exactly that point.

Also, I still think that - taken in context - suraez's use of negrita probably wasn't racist (given the cirumstances of the allegation etc. - but it's a moot point as he's served his ban now) and that Terry's probably was - but he'll get off anyway...

Yeah everyone compliments other people when they are having a pushing and shoving match. It was definitely a term of endearment used as they were grappling and swearing at each other.

And again you forget to mention the skin pinch as he says the word.

Anelka and Malouda also refused to give statements.

They were grappling with each other in the goal during the match. I bet they were pinching each other all fucking day.

The fact is, I think Evra's a lying shit-stirring cunt.

Never reported it to the police because it would have gone nowhere.

And yet it did go somewhere, at an FA hearing he was found conclusively guilty and admitted changing his story during the proceedings. Had he done so in a court of law he would likely have been found guilty as well, mostly due to the skin pinch which was the game changing difference between these cases.

Yadda yadda yadda.

We disagree cHodAX.

We disagree on the substance of the allegations, the offence, the terms used, the players involved, the competency of the FA (although I'd wager you find the FA incompetent and a waste of time in every other case). But in the end, we disagree.

So lets leave it at that eh? :)

LOL

You're so new Keit. That guy tweets every rumour going and has been caught deleting old tweets when they turn out to be bullshit.

He usually tweets whatever rumours are doing the rounds, some of which are inevitably true. Spot on my arse.
Like AVB to be announced by spurs at 2pm or whatever it was about 2 days before it happened..? not even SSN reported that until the day it happened..

He deletes some stuff which doesn't happen due to the amount of abuse he gets from the sad sad people when a transfer deal falls through etc.

It's impossible for someone to get everything spot on before anyone else.
