He's an arrogant (and at times thoroughly unpleasant) bastard but he can be an absolute joy to watch when he's on song.

I'm not trying to condone his actions but the "stamp" in 2011 was in the middle of a full-scale brawl after a match, he was not the only guilty party (he was the one most damningly caught on tape though).

About £24 million or something, the saga of his transfer where they seemed to be stoking the fire every few months to get more bids just made the whole subject a waste of time and the end result isn't a surprise but to me he is over hyped.
