Not to mention Ribery's lashing out on at least 2 occassions

Should have been a red for Ribery for that one in the first 20 mins

Anyone think that Dante and Robben were both lucky to be on the pitch? Great game although got fed up with Ribery's diving theatricals. Could have been a different outcome if the ref had some balls.

Yes, however you get things going for you sometimes. 3 finals in 4 years is not to be sniffed at, they've been consistently good and are at their peak now.

About £24 million or something, the saga of his transfer where they seemed to be stoking the fire every few months to get more bids just made the whole subject a waste of time and the end result isn't a surprise but to me he is over hyped.

After all those alleged bids of 60m? Lol. Real Madrid will have to make a marquee signing as well now, watch out Tottenham.

Neymar's contractual situation was complex, with a number of interested parties involved: the DIS investment group held 40% of his economic rights while another group, TEISA, held 5% and Santos 55%.
But Santos held 100% of his registration. In the end, Barcelona reportedly agreed to pay Santos and those partners around €28m, plus a further €30m to the player and close to €9m in agents' fees. A down payment of €10m had already been made in January 2011. Neymar will sign a five-year contract on a salary of €7m a season. In total, that means the package is worth more than €100m.

LOL 30m to Neymar himself? What a greedy cunt!

How can you be suprised really, at the end of the day, if its on the piece of paper then i'd be exactly the same!

Shame about Falcao really, expected, south of france, no tax, Ligue 1 next year with hope that they'll be doing a lot of business & hopefully compete with PSG, would be kinda nice to see some more decent teams come out of the French league.

People complain about money and buying players, I just think it makes football more exciting, spreading out the superstars between the clubs and taking good football to other leagues.

Because he wants to make the most money he can in a short career? Good luck to him. If people are willing to give him 30m, why wouldn't he take it? Personally I think there's no way he's worth the money Barca are paying overall, and I'm not entirely sure how they're going to play him with Messi, given his similar style of play. The criticism of Barca in Europe this season was their lack of a "plan B"; surely Neymar is just a lot more of "Plan A"? They'd have been better off spending the money on a more robust defence.

Owen Coyle to be confirmed as our new head coach. Will this nightmare ever fucking end?

Liddle version of Chelsea. 10 mangers later, gone backwards.

Except Chelsea have won things :D?

Regardless, Coyle is one dull and lifeless individual and just Mick 2.0. Wish this club would try and take a new direction for once.

It will be nice to see Holloway back in the prem!

I see he's already trying to keep hold of Zaha for another loan, can't see Moyes going for that, especially given the poor season United's wingers had this year.

Zaha needs to work on his final ball. Hes gives the ball away far too much when he's trying to make a simple pass.

Very raw talent still. I really really fancy United to bring in Bale this summer, so I think Ollie might get his wish, but I don't think it'll be enough to save them. I think they'll pick up less than 20 points. I can see all 3 promoted teams going down year if they don't spend well actually, with only perhaps Stoke looking in a position to 'challenge' them for the bottom 3 places.

Not a chance. If Bale goes anywhere, it'll be abroad. Moyes isn't going to break the bank on a marquee signing in his first year (and the Glazers probably won't let him anyway), his signings will be driven by whether Rooney stays and the big holes in midfield. If Anderson goes (likely) then they're three players down in midfield (Scholes and no sign of Fletcher coming back) so they need to buy there. Personally I'd be more than happy with any of Fellaini, Fabregas or Modric, or even better, two of them.
