Worst kept secret in football. Apparently Real Madrid are trying to get Ancelotti from PSG as well. I wonder what odds would be offered on Mourinho going to city. I know he keeps on about Chelsea but he's a bit of a merc and if they throw enough money (wages for him and transfer funds) in his direction who knows?

He often looks like he doesn't have a clue what he's doing though so maybe somebody else will do better with that immense potential.

(or they implode and freefall down the table next season)

Can't disagree with Ch3t more, since they've won the title they've been almost as boring to watch as Newcastle; a change was needed.

Yep. Mancini clearly didn't have that dressing room.

Chelsea fans at work bitching about City not having patience with Mancini. Oh the ironing.

They are probably just pissed that Maureen will go there.

...besides, it isn't entirely his fault. It's the club as a whole, constantly falling out with each other, fighting on the training ground etc

The polar opposite of UTD. One has class, one is a small time club out of it's depth.

Ridiculous decision from city. Small time club.

Don't agree. I'm all for giving managers a chance but he's made a lot of really poor decisions, he's a terrible man-manager, and he has a nasty habit of throwing blame around everywhere but not being able to take it himself (which is just a sign of a spineless arsehole tbh). He's just another ego amongst many at City. Pellegrini is probably the kind of manager they need, if he's allowed to build his own team; he complained about that at Real ("too many guitarists, not enough piano players" as he put it), and he doesn't seem the type who's overly impressed with superstars.

However, I do think that City's timing sucks; the one opportunity to stick it to United is next season while Moyes is bedding in (and it'll be all change at Chelsea, although that's a given), and now they'll have levelled the playing field by taking on a manager with no Prem experience. Maybe next season is Wenger's big chance ;)

So, soon we go to a couple of none-football months.
Quite sad isn't it :(

Would you trust Mancini to sort out man city's squad after the way he butchered it last summer?

Gutted for Wigan there is no justice when they go down and Stoke stay up again.

Also if the Ramsey curse has to strike again my hope is for a famous nonce suicide.

well they have spent the last couple of seasons only surviving with a late season surge, no wonder they eventually went down, gotta get points all season long :p

(unless you do a Hull and get all your points before xmas then lose every game after that :) )

bit odd to think of a team winning FA cup and being relegated in same season, will Martinez stay or go to Everton and try a cup run? would they want that kind of cup run if thats the side effect? :p

Roberto Martinez said:
"I never expected this. I know we were in a difficult position, but the players are an incredible bunch and they don't deserve this.

"It's a tough day for the football club. We had an incredible eight years in the Premier League and we need to build for the future.

"You look at the stats and they tell you we conceded far too many goals. Going forward we were magnificent but the number of injuries we've had in the back line is something I've never seen before.

"You keep making chances at the back and you suffer. We gave points away and that's why we are where we are."

"The FA Cup gave us a bit of hope of finishing the season on a high. It gave us a difference sense of confidence.

"It's great to win the FA Cup. It's an achievement that will live forever. The relegation is something we can rectify. There have been many great things over the last few years.

"The club is on a fantastic financial footing. We are stronger than ever. It's important we make our fans really proud. They supported us like they always do.

"It's a difficult time. It's a time to look forward to the future."
Can't help but like the guy.

That is silly the Chavs should get it on head to head results. If you play this one off match it is only one game less than having to qualify .

Football players are such amateurs. An american footballer has been arrested 4 times this week already.
