Right it took a while but I think this is a mis-interpretation - the first Pot is Spain, Ukraine, Poland + Netherlands - this doesnt mean they play each other - they take the first spot in each group stage group. So A1 (Poland), B1, C1, D1 (Ukraine) etc

England in the second pot means we will be a 2 - C2 I think so either Spain or Netherlands in our group. + Sweden and Republic of Ireland (based on standings on the UEFA site - could be slightly different now not updated since 11/11.

Basically you wont meet anyone in your pot till after the group stages.

France and Portugal doing so badly lately plus the fact that two countries are hosting the tournament has really cocked the seeding up.

We have a 1/2 chance of getting Spain or the Netherlands. We would almost certainly lose- then if we slip up against another team it's tournament over. This is especially bad when you consider there's a chance of getting France or Portugal as well.
