Oh yeah indeed, couldn't agree more. Harry's always been a dirty cunt :p. Can't be easy working under someone like Levy though who only seems to be interested in maximising profit from every single transfer without any consideration of actually USING the money they get in. Spurs have needed a proper centre forward for 2 seasons now, and I highly doubt they'll get one this deadline window unless they take the £35m or whatever Chelsea are now offering asap so they can actually put it to use.

No one is going to go there, it's well known he's seen as capellos replacement next summer. They are struggling in the leauge and the team looks very average. Even throwing cash at a player aint going to guarantee they sign for spurs.

Meireles + 8m for Benanyoun ? is this a joke? ......... I rate Benayoun very highly but he's so injury prone and old now..

Plus.. letting one of our best midfielders go to our rivals is just stupid for such a small fee..

I think Meireles has a clause where by if he plays a few more league games then Liverpool have to pay an extra 5m or so, which they're reluctant to do.

Also Hargreaves on the verge of joining city? On a few places and Lescott bigging him up. Get him fit and he'd be worth a punt.

Your kidding right? Error prone.

You don't get to be a first choice centre back for Germany if you're shit. £8M for him at age 26 is a good bit of business for Arsenal; who lets face it, can only improve defensively.

He's hardly worse than what Arsenal already have, Vermallen aside.

1320: FOOTBALL: The Manchester Evening News report that former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves is on the verge of joining neighbours Manchester City. Hargreaves has been pictured coming out of Bridgewater hospital - where the club conduct their medicals - with the Manchester City doctor.

Ouch, I know he's a free agent ect and city's a big club now but I'd hope he has more class than this.

Rooney and Lescott have both commented so looks like it could be on.

You have to wonder why Arsenal didn't make these signings before the season started.

The defence Wenger felt he had enough which was a mistake, Gibbs is to injury prone and you can not rely on either of our backup centre backs.

With midfield I think Wenger though Jack would replace Cesc and Thomas + Aaron would replace Samir. But with the potential for Jacks injury to keep on like Vermalala's last year he might be forced into the market. But I don't see us buying a defensive player with Song and Frimpong.

And the striker has been signed because with Nick leaving and Chambles + Gervinho going on a tournament break after Christmas we were low on options. And he will sell a fuck load of shirts.

Thin. Painfully thin. That's not a squad fit to compete in four competitions. And what's the betting the board blocked any proper spending until after Arsenal qualified for the CL proper? That's the real reason they've waited until now to get Wenger's moth-eaten wallet out.

Unless the board are very good liars I don't see the CL meaning squat to the club. As long as the wages fall within our structure then i don't think they will care. Unless the new Yank is going to pull all the profits out of the company there is no point keeping it we can't pay any more off the loans now.

I really couldn't care, we let him go, we could have kept him. Good luck to him, I think he's making a mistake going to City if he wants regular football though. He'd have been the main man somewhere like WBA.
