It's a decent gesture by Arsenal. Utd just look like they are gonna play open football and score more goals than their opponents this season.

It will catch em out at some point, here's hoping the bounce back from it.

Worth a punt on Arsenal finishing outside of any European spots.

5-0 up.

And with 3 out of their 4 1st choice back 4 injured.

No Alves, Puyol or Pique, only Abidal in the squad playing with Mascherano and Busquets in a back 3......

Insane

It's hard to look past Barcelona for Europe really, how boring :(

I hope Man City draw them, I think they'd have a better chance of beating them than most.

Yeah well, they are very fluid, pretty much total football style, does it really matter who plays where? Formations and positions are old hat these days :)

Their squad is sick, what a bunch of cunts. Even their substitute midfielders would walk in to any squad in the whole premier league.

Depends who gets the upper hand at the start of the match. Both play superb offensive football, but when it comes to defense, oh dear god. No one hardly ever exploits the Barca defense because they have the ball all the time, but if a team like city were to put pressure on Barca and managed to keep the ball and not stand in their own half the entire match, I think they'd have a shot at eliminating them

If the Yosi thing is real i see that at a stop gap until January as he is injury prone so not the player i would like to see in.

I just think that a midfield of De Jong and Toure, with their plethora of quick attacking talent, they've got as good a chance as anyone against Barcelona. Although they'll probably have to resort to playing Lescott at centre-back so they'd be doomed, defensive Mancini or no ;)

Although new boys in Europe vs Barcelona, I'd put my all my money on some shocking decisions going against Man City.

If Mancini decides to play defensive, as everyone else does against Barcelona, they'd be fucked. Yaya would not be able to cope with the midfield and the defense would be on their heels thorughout the match. Go play them as offensive as possible and you might get a result. United did so in CL finals, but it wasn't enough, as Barca were simply too strong and too much in control of the ball.

I think playing offensive you'll get beaten 99 times out of 100, if you give them space they'll tear you apart. You need to do what Man Utd 2008, Chelsea 2009, and Inter 2010 did and soak up the pressure and try and counter, although obviously some luck is required.

Although they seem to be improving every year so just hope Messi gets injured ;)

We've had a 7m+Yossi bid rejected for Meirele, lol.

Arsenal backing Arsene, fearing for his health oO They're also going to sign a rubbish left-back, Andre Santos.

Gazidis, the Arsenal chief executive also confirmed they had a significant transfer budget before they sold their players as well xD

Selling Yossi seems like a pretty dumb move, unless the board is confident of landing Modric and another creative midfielder such as Meireles. At this point I can't see the Modric transfer happening but who knows with Levy, he would probably hold out until 11.59pm on deadline day if it meant weasling out another 250k. Redknapp has got to be raging with how Spurs' transfer business has been handled.

Any shite harry gets regarding transfers is karma kicking his arse. He's got a cheek to talk to the press saying his Modric head has been turned. He's the biggest culprit going for talking up transfer targets in order to get them.
