Ch3tan is right though, Scottish league is a joke, and Spanish league is not exactly far off that!

No no, don't explain it. Aada is clearly right.

It appears we all have to be 12 year old girls and post lol smiley face after every light hearted comment or fear the wrath of the internets!

Edu obviously had an attack of reality and righted the situation.

Wonder what odds you'd get on a Spurs comeback or Copenhagen to nick one?

Hmmm..... Man City's owners will never go bankrupt because of some previously unforseen claim on their throne and oil fields.

did it work yet?

Raul has scored two goals now. Is it him with the most CL goals ever?

Imagine how good Messi could be if he bothered passing at times

I wish Nani would fuck off diving all the time. Also every time he falls over or loses the ball, he moans at the Ref/Linesman.

Pinto's haircut and zebrastripe dress really looks like he is a goalie in the 80s :p

copenhagen have done allright tonight, avoided damaging their goal difference, and the other game ending in a draw has put them in the driving seat for a second place finish.

Bale was allowed to shoot. Rafa had his classic red face building up.

Spurs just recovered a massive blow to their goal difference. Inter's visit to White Hart Line should be awesome tasty. Werder v Twenty finished in a draw, so Spurs could still actually try for top of the group without having to worry about those behind them.

I'm so touched by todays game. Like so many other teams at Camp Nou we were clowns in the first half, where Barcelona passed it around like they wanted to. We were lucky that they were so ineffective, and i'm glad we've got a great fucking keeper who saves everything that's possible.

the second half was completly different. Yes, Barcelona had their chances, but we were brave enough to play football at their own playground, and oh it was good to see. Firstly, there's N'doye. The way he took the ball down while holding Poyul away, and shooting it with fucking meteorpace, was from another planet. He kept everybody away with his great physics, and passed it around greatly. He's the best striker I've ever seen in the danish league to be honest, and he can play everywhere with the mood he's in these days.

Secondly, there's Zanka. Many people have been critical about our 20 year old Centre Back, and our manager has told him to stop acting like Beckenbauer the second. Today, he was Beckenbauer the second. He stopped Messi and Villa several times, and he wtfpwned Mascherano physically. He was a real beast down there. Both him and N'doye will be gone within long though :(

Barcelona deserved the win. They outplayed us completly in the first 45 minutes, and I kinda expected that. I'm a bit sad that they got the last goal in the 90. minute though, when we were playing with 5 strikers :( The goal difference may make a huge difference in this group. I've been so nervous the whole day, but i'm proud of how far my team has come. I didn't expect that 5 years ago.

Oh, and I think we gave debut to the youngest player ever in champions league by the way :) 16 year old striker Kenneth Zohore.

from the beeb:

Ex-Real Madrid striker Raul also grabbed a brace as he set Schalke en route to a 3-1 victory over Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The goals saw him move level with German legend Gerd Muller at the top of the list of all-time scorers in European football.

After reading rooney statement, The one time Rooney needed good advising and his people delivered big time. Showing massive respect to Sir Alex, whilst playing to the United fans by blaming Judas and the Glazers. At least his statement makes it more likely that he could play for United again before he is sold.

I agree with Merson that it is likely Rooney has been tapped up, although he knows that any number of the top / rich clubs will sign him in an instant.

United will miss his work rate, his passion, his commitment, and last season's goals. He isn't as hard to replace as Ronaldo was, as without Valencia in the side, his goal threat was significantly reduced. Although, whereas when Ronaldo left, United got Valencia, who was able to assist Rooney to score 30+ goals, with Rooney I can't honestly see United replacing him with anyone of note. Now that we know Rooney told Gill before August, it backs up the claims by Craig fucking Bellamy that United tried to sign him. If signings like Bellamy are what United fans can look forward to, you are truly fucked.

Rooney at Madrid would make an even more awesome strike line up for them, and make them pretty unbeatable. I can understand Mourinho wanting him to stay at United for life, as he wants Fergie's job, but im sure united would rather he fuck off to Spain rather than be a **** like Tevez. However, I cant see him leaving the uk

No doubt David Gill will come out and stress that there are millions of pounds to be spent on new players and that the Glazer's are super-duper owners, with Fergie following suit pretty soon after. The truth is, the thing that is worse about this situation, is united sell him for £20-£35million, Uncle Malc and sons will buy a few more mansions, and united willl be left to sign an unknown kid off the street in Glasgow.

Rijkaard the odds on favourite to take over at Pool.

Was a rumour going around on an LFC forum that Roy will resign tonight, with Rijkaard to take charge on monday and Dalglish to take care of the Blackburn game.

Watch this space I suppose
