20m for Henderson and 16m for Jones. Holy shit are English players over priced.

Looks like the fee for Jones to Man Utd is around £16m.

:/

YouTube - ‪Phil Jones vs Manchester United‬‏

Just watched this and can see why we like him, big strong lad and brave in the tackle. £16 million is alot but if he has the potential and it stops him going to big rivals then I think he might be worth it. Certainly he is better than any of the young centre backs we have playing in reserves right now, it is a postition that we are going to need to fill in the next few years.

Yep no doubt, look at some of the mad prices coming out of Portugal though? £30 million plus for players who have not yet done it on the biggest stage.

Nice stat :p "For those asking (and correct me if I'm wrong @OptaJose), I think Ronaldo scored 4 (5?) free kicks in La Liga. And took 52."

Yet still scored 50+ goals, imagine if more of those freekicks had gone in? Dixie Dean's record would be gone too. :p

So, anyone expect Citeh to make any mad bids this year? Lets say...

250 million euros for Messi, £1 million a week wages, yet he still turns them down? :p

Neither are 30m+ and since both are now more or less first team players it's not too much. Jones hasn't even played a full season yet.

Agreed to a certain extent, that said they cost alot of money considering the level they had played at before, Portugal are trying to reduce thier defecit by getting the other European leagues to pay inflated prices imo. :p

Both are £20m+ plus and while decent, don't really deserve those fees.

Bound to happen soon :D hopefully he accepts, because it's the only way Messi will ever come to the Prem :(

Henry Winter points out that Jones to United would be good for England too, regular centre-back pairing at club and international level with Smalling is an excellent thing :)

Ramires was 18m, is young and was our best midfielder last season so I disagree on him and it's hard to deny that Luiz has loads of potential.

Wasn't Ramires 17m or so? Really not an unexpectadly large fee for a Brazilian international midfielder who is young and talented. He was one of our best performers last year, especially in the second half of the season.

Luiz's transfer fee was inflated by the time of year he signed, but again he's young and talented so I'd say while the fee was a little steep it was hardly ridiculous.

Torres, on the other hand... :(

eurgh the torres signing still depresses me. Probably the worst signing in football history imo, even if he does start banging in goals it's still way too much, you just know he's going to get in the way of Sturridge.

Exactly. I feel really bad for the guy in some ways, he seems a likeable chap and the outpouring when he scored was touching, but without a revolution of the way we play he'll never really fit in.

Here's hoping Guus can wave the magic wand, but I don't see it. Especially if we sign some of the players that have been touted - Neymar, Aguerro, Pastore, Kaka (hopefully not Kaka though), where do they all fit in? I'd love to see a system with Neymar or Aguerro up top with Sturridge, with one of the former two playing more of a false nine role and dropping into the hole... but it's all a bit of a pipe dream.

So anxious about next season. :/

I don't see the point in signing any of those players except Pastore. We clearly don't need a striker, in fact we have at least 2 too many strikers. We have 0 right wingers but i'm sure we won't buy one.

Hes been in and around the Blackburn first XI for the past two seasons? Only injury kept him from making alot more appearances this season.

Nice penalty take that. He gets the assist, crossbar can have the goal. Great trick shot :D

Yer, but would of liked to see him in the main squad

True! Though I have to say I think the problems with the selection were more to do with the selection of an out of form Lampard and James Milner who has never done anything good in an England shirt ahead of Ashley Young who was outstanding in our last game.

ZOMG! A CITY FAN! I thought you lot were extinct on FH! :D ;) :p
/Wave!

Wayne Rooney has had a hair transplant. It's a bit like putting a thatched roof on a shit-house - it might keep the flies off, but there's still a turd underneath.

Ryan Giggs and his brother walk into a bar. Ryan says to the barman "I'll have whatever he's having.."

Seems like Giggs doesn't care where he gets his birds from. Big brother little brother, he's not fussy..

The "Jeremy Kyle" Show should do a special on Manchester United;
'My husband slept with prostitutes while I was pregnant' featuring Rooney.
''My husband slept with my sister-in-law and tried to cover it up' with Giggs
'I've a gambling problem costing me a fortune' confesses little Michael Owen.
'My family is heavily involved in crime, but we keep it quiet' admits Ferdinand.
You couldn't make it up.........
