Oh come on Chet, as Embattle said, the first 15 mins you rattled Barca but as soon as they settled Utd could do nothing. It is nothing about hate, Utd were simply outplayed and outclassed by a much better team.

I'm not into club football at all, so with an objective point of view I agree with this. Pressure was great for 15 minutes from United, then it was clearly going to be Barca's night.

best team might have won but they arent your team. they named after places for a reason.

Now, now. His dad sent him a postcard from Barcelona once.

Anyway, most fans on here have never been to a game in their life, let alone come from the area the club are based in. What does it matter if you support Barcelona or Manchester United if you live in neither area and don't go to the games?

We had "Gay Pride" in Birmingham yesterday, most internet football forums/threads are full of Plastic Pride.

Nothing to do with bitterness but as I've said in the past I have higher standards than most fans (esp fair weather ones) do that must be achieved for a true all time great in the modern era.

Really wish the issue with FIFA wasn't being referred to as some sort of image problem, it is much more serious than that.

Never understood it myself. It's why I choose to stay out of football.

You want to see the "What the fuck? Are you gay or mad?" look on people's faces when I say "I don't really like football".

I never understood this mindset that you must either attend games at a club or be from the same area as a club to be a "real supporter."

Me personally, i have attended one live game of football way back in 5th form - during the last Ice Age - and quite frankly i was not impressed at all.

The entire stand stank of piss and the people watching the game were just a bunch of mindless morons.

After that experience, i swore to never attend another live game of football, except maybe WC games.

I thought Messi was awesome.

He was because he does two things, either plays the ball well himself or acts like a magnet and draws players towards him and away from others thus opening up gaps or forcing you to pull the midfield back more to help.

So ... we got a withdrawal from the presidental race which will be done in return to get allowed to sit within FIFA with no corruption charges carrying a punishment. In return Blatter gets to be the default president for another 4yrs and to continue filling his pocket at the cost of the game.

Nothing is going to change in FIFA. This is yet another smoke screen being put in place to hide the truth of exactly how corrupt they are, simple fact is that you can not investigate the corruption charges in a few days and they are just going to ask "Are you corrupt?" get an answer of NO, followed by "Very well, carry on." lol
.......

And Turamber. If being a fan of a team is reliant on going to a match. Can you tell me why every match I go to, most people do not actually seem to know the rules of football and/or spend most the time just trying to insult the opposition fans/players instead of backing their own club?
Prices of games are getting a joke, and add to that the fact I find it hard to not turn round and call someone a clueless wanker for most their comments makes it safer not to go. heh.

Its the second part a lot of people dont appreciate. He always has 3-4 players making a run, iniesta, Pedro, Alves and Villa. Yes, Messi is a special player, but it does help when you have the work rate of said players.

Messi is an amazing player, but Argentina games show he is nowhere near the same player without the rest of the Barcelona team. They are just in a league of their own when it comes to playing as a team

The FA would like to thank all the Manchester United fans for taking part in their second emergency evacuation of Wembley in the last six weeks. Once again thank you from Wembley for your co-operation.

Not a very good joke that... especially considering they all stayed to see of VDS and congratulate the best team in the world.

Dont worry little Man City fan. One day you will know what it is like to get some worthwhile success :p

Did wonder where all the City fans had been. Most got sense to know that they can only dream at the moment about getting near a CL final :D

No imo, it's because of the way Barcelona play that works for Messi, when hes playing for Argentina everything has to go through him and noone else will take responsibility. This is what Argentina have realised hence why they are adopting the Barcelona system in order to get the best out of messi.

Higuain/Aguero -- Villa
Di Maria -- Pedro
Cambassio -- Xavi

Get the idea, it's why Tevez has been rumoured to be dropped as he doesn't fit into this ideal.

You'd have thought Tevez could fit into that Villa role, it's not like workrate is an issue for him.

Higuain and Aguero are both far better then Tevez, least not forget Tevez has a shit record for his country whilst the other two are fairly consistent.

Barcelona were amazing. Valencia and Evra had bad games. Rooney did well, when he had the ball.

It was very interesting to see the first ten minutes. I saw a camera shot of Carrick, the concentration he had in his eyes was frightening. The lad did well I feel, Rome in 2009 obviously affected him quite a lot. He was definitely one of United's best players.

In the end of the day, I think most people expected Barcelona to win. They play the best football I have ever seen (though it doesn't mean they are the best team I have ever seen), and Messi is the best player of our generation - would definitely rate him around Zidane's level, if not above, already.

I've got to comment to all the out classed comments though, the tempo we played in h fist half was immense, barca were troubled. Some of the hate you lot show is utterly petty.

Uhh, the entire game was pretty much Barcelona.. apart from the first 10 minutes.. ?
