Breaking News: Reports are coming in that Barca fans sneaked into Old Trafford last night and unfurled a "19 times" banner. It's thought to be in honour of the amount of times United touched the ball last night!

olol :p

I think next years final will be Man City v Barcelona.

If Man City don't get to at least the Semi's it will be a huge failure and the manager will probably be sacked :p

Also, anyone heard the rumours about Guardiola leaving Barcelona for Chelsea? oO!

What seeding do City have though? Mancini's European record is hardly glamorous and if they came unstuck against Kiev what does that say for the Euro giants?

I never understood this mindset that you must either attend games at a club or be from the same area as a club to be a "real supporter."

No? And I don't understand how somebody can claim to be a fan but not attend games or move from their living room/pub to watch it. I also don't see the attraction of following a club that is not local or they have no ties to.

Not everyone can afford it. Are they not real fans because they can't spend £50+ per match?

Sorry but your definition of a "fan" just doesn't make any sense to me.

Either i must live in Liverpool or i must go and watch a game in Anfield for me to be able to say i am a "real" fan?

What about fans in Thailand? By your definition plastic right?

What about say an England football game?

I assume, because i don't go to watch England play, international games and because i am not born in England, by your definition i am not a fan?

They should go and watch Thai football!

(Based on watching two games in Hong Kong I can see why foreign football is more popular, even if superstars like Nicky Butt and Mateja Kezman now grace the league)

Tis just my opinion, that is all. I cannot see the attraction of following a team that is based in another locale, even another country. I can't see the point of gloating about the results of a team that I only watch on the television.

Perhaps I'm lucky in that Birmingham has plenty of football teams. However I suspect that even if I had been born in the back of beyond I'd have found a local team to follow ... not a team who I watch on television and call 'my team'. And when many of those "supporters" choose to follow teams that win everything in sight at the top level it gives the impression they are gloryhunters.

Not Liverpool though, obviously, their television fans are just masochists.

To bad you weren't born out in the nowhere like me. Then you wouldn't be allowed to cheer for a team :p

Some match stats;

777 - Total number of passes that Barcelona made in the final, more than double Manchester United's 357. Barca had 69% of overall ball possession.

148 - Passes that Spanish midfielder Xavi completed during the game, a high for the Champions League this season. He misplaced only seven, giving him a completion rate of 95%.

90 - Percentage of passes completed by the Barcelona team. United's was 80%.

60 - Passes between Xavi and Andres Iniesta, the most common pass journey on the pitch. United's most frequent combination was between defender Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic (16).

55 - Number of times Xavi and Iniesta passed to Messi.

18 - Passes made by Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes - two more than Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

16 - Times United fouled Barcelona's players. Barcelona did likewise to their opponents on only five occasions.

15 - Dribbles by Messi, of which 10 were successful. Wayne Rooney was the next most frequent dribbler with six.

12 - Shots on target by Barcelona. Messi and Iniesta had three of these each.

11.95 - According to Uefa, distance in kilometres covered by Xavi, the highest in the Barcelona team. Ryan Giggs covered the greatest distance by a United player (11.16km).

1 - Number of shots that Manchester United had on target. This was Rooney's 34th-minute goal.

Whats the maximum capacity at Villa? How well do you think they would do if they could fit their entire fan base in the ground?

You're a clown. accept it.

I grew up near Arsenal but now I have moved I suppose I need to stop supporting them and start following Colchester.

Some who thinks you can transfer you alligence like that is far more of a plastic fan than someone who loves a club but cant go.

I know what you're saying , i was brought up to support my local team , ive stood on the terraces of roker park watching us in the old 3rd division , ive been to watch us at Wembley in the 4-4 game against Charlton and ill support the lads through the good and bad times (and theres been alot of bad in the last 10 years) but i guess its different for us who were brought up in a city with a big football club.

If i was born in a city that didnt have a big football following i dont know who i would support.
