Tbh I probably would have picked Bergkamp over Shearer and Dogba

Muniain seems like a don as do Hazard and De Gea. The odd one there is Ahmed Khalil.. tierk know if hes any good other then on FM?

Khalil is a striker, with a similar style to Samuel Eto'o apparently

Yeah go on bitter, focus on one aspect and ignore the nine I posted. How many years since you won anything again? Must be eating alive, you know being 'the side that plays the best football' and all.
don't worry, there were people queueing up to tell us we were the worst ever champions despite breaking several records but people forget pretty quickly. infact since we've sacked ancelotti apparently we were like the greatest team ever last season :p

I only know him as the U.A.E wonderkid in FM. Seen a couple youtube vids and seems something special.. but as with most middle-east players, doubt he would make it in Europe.

sounds like the CL final could be pretty expensive for all those travelling barcelona fans due to this volcano, and most of manchesters support who have to fly in too i guess :p

Welbeck would become your 4th choice tbh, Macheda is finished at United and was an absolute flop at Sampdoria, 16 starts and 1 goal to show.

Taken out of his element mate and playing in a totally different side with a losing mentality, he is a cracking youngster. Best thing that can happen is Welbeck comes back from loan and Macheda goes to Sunderland to replace him and get the football he needs.

All the various wings of 442 have compiled a list of the 20 most promising under 20's, nice to see a couple of British names in there:

1. Jack Wilshere - Arsenal
2. Erik Lamela - River Plate
3. Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal
4. Adem Ljalic - Fiorentina
5. Alan Dzagoev - CSKA Moscow
6. Iker Muniain - Ath. Bilbao
7. David de Gea - Ath Madrid
8. Neymar - Santon
9. Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva - Sao Paolo
10. Christian Eriksen - Ajax
11. Lacina Traore - Kuban Krasnodar
12. Xherdan Shaqiri - Basle FC
13. Eden Hazard - Lille
14. James McCarthy - Wigan
15. Connor Wickham - Ipswich
16. Ryo Miyaichi - Arsenal
17. Mario Gotze - Borussia Dortmund
18. Jeffrey Bruma - Chelsea
19. Ahmed Khalil - Al Alhi
20. Mario Balotelli - Man City

And 5 promising under 17's

Romelu Lukaku
Muhammed Demirci
Lucas Piazon
Angelo Hernandez (Man Utd have shown interest and a 3m bid apparently)
Zachary Herivaux

Will be interesting to see how many of the ones at 'lesser' clubs move around over the Summer, there's a fair bit of interest in a number of them already.

Strange list, Ballotelli should be alot higher. Suprised Cleverly isn't on there either.

In b4 they're all commuting from Surrey so it doesn't matter.

Wasn't me, I actually gave you good credit last season even though I thought we should have nicked it. In the end Chelsea just closed games out a bit better and they won a double for exactly that reason. Many times I have said you have the best central midfielder in the world with Essien, Cech is a brilliant keeper and when your side plays for each other they are world class.

Essien's been more like Denilson than Essien this season though, our midfield has been terrible and is the main reason we've been so poor :(

Crisis of confidence is the problem, he hasn't been happy with those around him this season and it has effected his game. The problem is more Mikel/Lampard and losing Ballack/Deco than Essien himself, the fella is fucking brilliant when he has his game head on.

i'd say the problem is having knees made of jelly and getting massive injuries every season, he's not recovered

Yes and No, when he went to Sampdoria they were sitting comfortably in 8th position and looked to kick onto Europe, yes they lost both Pazzini and Cassano but the nucleus of Ziegler, Poli, Palombo, Biabany and co were still there.

The fact that he managed 1 goal in 16 apperances (which came in the Coppa Italia against Udinese) for them as they shot down the table shows something. He was hardly looking threatening when he came on for United, 2 goals against Villa aside he has looked like he would be out of place in a Championship side. Yes he is young, but he is hardly setting the world alight and you seem to have much more brighter striking prospects in your ranks.

I find it highly amusing that you are drawing conclusions on his ability based on scores and goals when playing in a side that was headed for freefall. Even in the games he hasn't played and more experienced players have they have been fucking woeful. Nice that you are putting the blame on his shoulders though, very ABU of you.

Having seen him play numerous times I can say with certainty that he does have the ability to play top flight football, he just needs to be in the right side, given time and nurtured. His game suits English football, give him year on loan at a top championship or lower premiership side and he will start to shine.

Well give him a few more years when JT has shagged Abramovich's missus and winds up dead we could use a new one to partner king David :p

We'll never get wide players, just accept it, it's too logical!

Come again? He is a striker, his bread and butter is goals and what he does for the team, which as the Italian media has highlighted and can be seen by looking at Serie A wasn't enough as Sampdoria plummeted down, not blaming him am i, but it surely doesn't reflect well that a team where Pazzini (10 goals) and Cassano (5 goals - whose boots Macheda was bought into fill) that he only managed one and the team got consequently relegated. Heads surely couldn't have dropped that bad as his first two matches were victories (2-1 Roma and beating Udinese in the Coppa Italia). The likes of Poli and Palombo, Ziegler and what not are all to blame, but if noone is sticking them in.. then its curtains.

As far as the ABU comment goes? How does that work when I'm saying you have better striking prospects and he will most likely never be good enough for United. Makes no sense what so ever.

I'm saying from each time I've seen him he has looked as threatening on the ball as a wet noodle, United have better prospects and that he went on-loan to Sampdoria could indicates that Fergie wants rid? If he wanted him to adapt to the English game would he have not sent him to the likes of Norwich, Swansea and so forth who were all in the market for a striker in the January window?

That isnt denying he had the epitome of useless with Maccarone as his strike partner, but even he faired better then Macheda.
