Fucking gutted that Shit Uniteshit didn't lose. Really wanted ArseAnal to go thru. Only because I like them more than Shit Uniteshit.

Anyway, Man Shitty to win the FA Cup.

Really? How many bad injuries has Scholes caused? Go on, name them.

Thats very difficult to do for any player without a signifcant amount of effort. Every player has unfavourable traits. For example, Gerrard dives. As a Liverpool fan I can admit that. I wish he wouldnt do it, but i can still accept it. Scholes is a fantastic player, one of only about 5 modern English players who is genuinely world class. However I dont really see why you cant accept that he has a darker side, or whatever you want to call it to his game.

Darker in regards to being prepared to foul someone to help the team win? Yes, he has always been like that though, it is part of the winning mentality, not a nice part but a vital part. He doesn't set out to injure though and because of that alot nasty looking tackles have actually ended with Scholes being red carded yet the opposition player back on his feet because Scholes pulled back a bit and didn't snap the guy for the sake of it. We all know the public perception of his tackling but I don't honestly thinking you can say someone has a dark side to his game unless they have a history of injuring fellow professionals. You know the sort, Vinne Jones etc..

...Roy Keane, yeah i know the type ;). Again its very hard to tell what his intent is, whether he pulls out of tackles etc. I have to admit some of his more notorious challenges look absolutely horrific at full speed and real time, but at slow mo look bad, but not terrible:

YouTube - UCL Final 09 Barcelona - Manchester Scholes brutal tackle

I just think IF he genuinely is just a bad tackler, he would have improved it enough by now for it not to be an issue. The fact that he he still going through the back of people like its Friday night in Soho makes me think its something else.

Learning to tackle properly isnt an easy thing... and a player that prone to dive in is hard to train out of doing so because you got to try retrain a subconcious decision.... there are actually very few defenders that know how to tackle really well, let alone trying to teach scholes to tackle. I am not surprised that he has never learnt the skill, and it doesnt help that he grew up in a time when some of what hee gets booked for now was allowed.

In the old days it was fine to follow through the player after getting the ball, nowdays you get booked for it... I never cared about going through a player after winning the ball 15yrs ago, it was deemed as good defending to shake up the attackers with hard tackles that were clean but knocked them down. Go in with any force now and you get moaned at. Was surprised Rooney got away with the one he done on the touchline yesterday.

So it's not his fault? Lol

It's his fault but it isn't his game, he works hard and plays hard but sometimes you misjudge and make a foul. He has had plenty of yellows, reds and bans so it isn't as if he has been getting away with it for years.

He's one of the most experienced players in the league, probably second to Giggs yet goes in hard, fast, late and from behind on a very regular basis. If it was in another player they'd get red cards all the time and be chastised by the masses but because it's Scholes everyone just laughs it off like it's fine.

Made some sweet passes yesterday though :p

Errr, no. The combined fee for nani and Anderson was around 30 million. Can check united accounts for that year to estimate that.

Normally i would put it down to bullshit but it seems a reliable source. Perhaps it's due to inflation or changes in the exchange rates? Meh

Very dodgy; most other sources say Porto raised 50million in transfers that season. Now pepe was 30million to real, so ando couldn't have been more than 20 million euro

you all seem to forget that 3 years ago 30 million euros was only like 20 million sterling

so the reported figure at the time would have been correct but if united paid in instalment then the euro fucked them over abit
