Least he beginning to find the net a bit now, probably a step up from Drogba. lol. Not that he could miss todays goal. lol.
Rooney does some good things during the game, but indeed he a shadow of last season, not only in terms of goals but overal play. His touch is appalling quite often.
Would I like to see him out the team? Not really. We seem to generally play better when he is around. But it wouldnt be the biggest loss as Hernandez does give us a large threat, especially with balls that turn the defenders around.

He needs to do a hell of a lot better, he had his hissy fit about leaving then stays on for even more money and so far his performance is still worse than last year. I saw him mid week during the European game and quite frankly he seemed rather slow at times, much like he did in the world cup.

This year in general is about who flops over the finish line first, I suspect MU will manage it still just because out of all the gifts they have they've always managed to win even when looking shit.

Weak. Expected better than going after the ref from you.

eh? It was in full view of Clattenburg? Dont do an Arsenal mate. if the ref isnt going to punish Rooney for an attack like that, one must assume hes bent. Or myabe it was the wigan players fault for putting his head in front of Rooneys elbow?

IMO JT is expendable (not that I would say we should get rid of him), Lampard is not.

To be honest, look at the wigan players movement. It looks like he deliberately tried to cut Rooney off with a body check. If he hadnt done that there would not have been any chance of a collision anyways.

Right now, I can see how Rooney will argue it. He will state that the player tried to bodycheck him, so he moved to avoid it and thus had to lift his arm up over the guys shoulder so as not to make a full arm to body contact and spin himself around as at the pace he was moving he couldnt stop.

As for Marc's comment. That is Clattenburg in general. It doesnt matter what side he speaks too, if he speaking to one person and isnt producing a card he will walk up and place a hand on their back and move his head close to their ear. I dont know if he does it to try and avoid having the camera see his lip movement or wether he thinks getting up and personal will have them listen to him more... but it not a thing he does unique to any particular team or player.

EDIT:
Lol at this story:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3435825/Ashley-Cole-shoots-fan.html

Ashley cole managing to shoot someone 5ft away with an air rifle and then goes "oh but i didnt know it was loaded".
It your fucking gun you muppet, you should know if it is or not

One would assume they will look at the video evidence and take action...

... oh hang on, it's Wayne Rooney and Man Utd...

Or hang on; it's against the rules of the game...

They can't punish a player when the ref has already taken action. Or are you suggesting that a big club should have be subject to a different set of rules?

Moronic comment.

Glad you said that...

10 Feb 2009 - Leeds v Millwall. Jermaine Beckford receives yellow card for elbowing Millwall 'keeper David Forde.

11 Feb 2009 - Jermaine Beckford charged with violent conduct by FA

12 Feb 2009 - FA hand Beckford 3 game ban

If the ref blew the whistle but didn't give a card, he obviously didn't see what really happened tho. Will Rooney really get away with this because the ref gave a free kick? Even you united fans can't think that's fair on other clubs who have had players banned for this type of thing.

Oh and as for the other player trying to body check, MoTD seemed to suggest Rooney changes his direction to actually elbow the Wigan player.

then the FA needs sorting out, as has been suggested for many years. It's a breach of their own rules.

Terry's been one of our best players this season tbh and I don't think there's a chance in hell the club would sell him

No you don't. I did not dispute the elbow in any way. He deserved to go for it.

You accused the ref of taking cash from United so don't dodge the issue.

Yus he should have probably went, hope people dont think i dont think that.
My comments are in relation to the defense that Rooney would likely use as opposed to what i think happened
