Ozil didn't want to go to Man Utd though so that point is moot.

Comparing him to Scholes is a bit silly though, he was never going to be Scholes.

Well what the comparison really relates to is he the kind of player we need at the level we need and Scholes is the benchmark. When you break it down Gibson really doesn't excel in any of the areas that a central midfielder should apart from distance shooting. I like the lad alot and think he could do a great job elsewhere but as it stands he isn't of the calibre required to command a regular starting eleven spot at any top four club. To replace Scholes adequately we need someone who can live at that level week in, week out.

A couple of things that kind of get forgotten about the Shawcross tackle:

1. Yes, the ball was 50-50, but just look at the pace he goes in for the ball, it's completely out of scale with the game and all other players.
2. There is a law in the rules of the game stating that if a player goes in a reckless manner without thought of potential injury, it's a straight red card.

Yes, he did NOT intend to injure him, but to suggest it's a fair challenge is nonsensical and goes against the written, accepted laws of the game. That's why Arsenal fans have a bit of a problem accepting the challenge. Even if there had been no permanent injury it's still very dangerous. We don't want 50-50 challenges outlawed, but we do ask for some kind of common sense in regards to the amount of force used.

No, but no need to go into detail as far as I'm concerned other than to say that Arsenal fans are picking up more of the character traits from Wenger that really annoy other fans.

I am just waiting for them to blame Stoke in some way for Cesc missing the Carling Cup final now they announced that be the case (could be mind games but doubt it, afteral it there on the plate for them as is)

Whos the hottie?

Caroline Wozniaki, Danish tennis player + Liverpool fan - that's a signed shirt she's got too.

She gave a press conference during the Aussie open where after being criticised for being boring she gave all the usual spiel before asking for questions on anything form the floor, including someone asking what she thought to the current Liverpool situation

Why would he when he can pay a 25% tax rate in Madrid? Plus all the image rights fiddles on top of that, he probably pays 10% tax at most over there.

Or maybe he wanted to play in the best league in the world? :p

Marc we get it. We've gone through this all before about Ronaldo. Real are the biggest draw in football. No need to keep rubbing it in everyone's noses :twak:

City have some of the cheapest prices in the league and still can't fill the stadium on a regular basis.

Bitter? About your constantly empty stadium.... you should be the bitter one.

You can't survive on your sugar daddy, times are changing, the rules will stop you being able to rely on funds outside of club generated income. You should be shitting yourself at the fact that your expenditure so far outstrips your income.

Turn it in. wah wah wah. And we are bitter?

When you sell tickets for £10 adult, £1 child for Europa games and can't fill the stadium you know you have problems. Where are these hordes of Manc blues I keep hearing about? They certainly aren't at Eastlands, even when they are practically giving tickets away.

Oh and why would I be bitter? Even with the ongoing Green and Gold protest, a bad recession and heavily increased prices we can still fill our stadium more often than not. Our financials are on the up, revenue is up 8% or so. Nothing to be bitter about there. Angry would be more accurate, at constantly having to hear the lying of bitter blues about how Manchester is theirs. Greater Manchester has a population of 2.6 million and you can't fill the ground even at giveaway prices.

So we should have a sell out stadium every week to be recognised and compete, rubbish. Your usual propaganda.
