City have signed Balotelli. He's already good but he should be ridiculously good in a few years.

Got a few too many players, especially strikers and holding midfielders now though!

If they don't sell any there will definately be some unhappy players in there. They all seem fine to join up and pick up their fat paychecks but when things stop going their way they become right bitches

Jesus a 5 year old could have done a better job!

Season kicks off tomorrow, can not wait! New look Sunderland back line and half a bloody team, looking forward to seeing how Riveros and Al-Muhammadi (The Egyptian Beckham don't you know) do and also who we'll bring in to replace Jones. There's been a few rumours flying around that Gyan from Rennes is the one Bruce wants which would do me, looked a real handfull at the World Cup.

Love the feeling a new season brings!

Sky Sports | Football | Bundesliga | News | Ozil set for Euro outing

If this happens i would imagine he'll just walk on a free next summer? He'll be work so much less if he can't play in Europe for this year.

Werder are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Do they cash in now and lose their best player which would dent their champions league prospects and possibly result in less income, or do they play him in the hope he helps them get the qualification which will bring £££ but then probably lose him on a free? Seems like they are going for the latter.

and more importantly, what the hell has Mancini done to his hair? He looks like he's wearing a wig.

Fuck me, Hart is on crack. I think he's already made 6 saves, he's going to score high fantasy points for this.

city playing with a back 7 after spending millions on strikers, the arabs really have turned city in to a big joke

off to watch county get beaten by oldham, managed by a city legend who most city fans/staff wouldnt have a clue who he was these days

Exciting - we're starting our match with a 16 year old striker. I wish I could be there today :)

Sounded like Spurs played very well. Mancini knows his job would be on the line if he picked up a few defeats in his early games so he puts out a team that should be good enough to get a draw at least.

But where would he play Milner in that formation? I'm guessing he'd be back on the right wing/midfield where he is less than effective.

Gah, wish I could be at Villa Park today but still not well enough. But I do have mixed feelings about the game, can't help but be sad and angry O'Neill has gone and apprehensive about how we're going to perform *gulp*.

Blimey Milner in the starting line-up. That could backfire spectacularly if he gets injured. Hope he has some earplugs in, he's going to get dogs abuse.
