I'd see him as a very long term signing, he is a perfect Scholes replacement. With him being able to learn off of Scholes and Giggs (and Carrick lol) for a couple of seasons before they hang up their boots, he could be immense. Here is to hoping Alex is seriously looking at him.

If we can snag Ozil on the cheap then it is fantastic business for us, it would be the 3rd quality signing and investment in younger players. Them added to what we have and the players we have coming through, we aren't in bad shape at all.

The price is high because he only just signed for Guimares two weeks ago, so we had to buy his contract out. Queiroz helped us get Ronaldo and Nani, so there is a good track record there.

Yeah am hearing much the same from Portugese people who post on other forums and usually post very sensible stuff. It does seem like it was now or never for United as others were circling and going to snap him up in the next few days.

Have it on good authority that United only paid 3 million euros up front for him, another 5 million to be paid if he wins trophies and hits targets for goals scored. Vitoria were happy with the deal, it is a good payday for them with potential for much more and the option to take Bebe back on the cheap if he doesn't make the standard.
