I am obviously biased but I do think we are the best choice for it. Russia is too big and still mostly in the 80s. Spain and Portugal probably won't be able to afford to host the Johnstone paint trophy by then. Neither have enough stadiums good enough.

What about NL and belgium? We are the best bet!

Let's face it, are any of us really surprised? We fool ourselves into thinking we can win on the fact we could host a tournament tomorrow if we had to, it's all about politics and money in FIFA.

Good luck to the Russians, I can understand the tournament being hosted there, football is huge in Russia and they have big money behind it. I don't doubt they will be ready and put on a good show. The eastern european element will be an issue - how well received will foreign fans be, and how much trouble?

The Qatar bid however, total joke. Nothing but money behind that one.

Russia I fully understand, maybe it'll improve dramatically by 2018, but some of the infastructure and stadiums (especially outside St.petersburg and moscow) is absolutely appalling.
